01 explorer trans into 00 ranger????

hi everbody i have 01-02 explorer auto trans if i change the bellhouseing to a yr 2000 3.0 ranger would it work ? note engine is 4.0. i know it has one more sensor/mag pickup in the back of the trans. ive been told the explorer trans is a 5r55e and that that ford gets one more shift out of it threw softwear. ps the only reason for useing the trans is i know that it only has 30,000 miles on it .and the trans shop says the girl friends trans is sliping a little in thread or second gear aka shifting problems . i have looked on utube mike shows changeing the valve body gasket???? or is it the servos? also we cant seem to turn off the overdiver the light works but nothing happens! ps the od light does not flash ! note ive always keeped the oil changed / the trans oil is clean not burned . one more thing i do have an 01 ranger trans but i think its got some miles on it . well i hope some one can help me thx astroboy!!!!!!
