01 3.0 fit in 99

well i let my brother drive my truck he decided it would make it better as a submarine it didnt work out so well now im searching for a motor i found a 01 motor does anybody know the transmission bolt patterns are the same and mine is four wheel drive is the two wheel the same i dont wanna buy it then b stuck with a motor i cant use

far as i know they never changed and only came with one transmission style.



btw, not saying you should, but i would BEAT my brother if he did that to my truck. (good thing im an only child)

I hope you drained all fluids and put in fresh oil and grease everywhere...wheel bearing, axles etc. Water will kill that truck. It will never be the same (electrical wise too as well if it was sunk deep).

how bout a two wheel drive and four wheel drive are trans the same and yeah i almost beat him senseless

i think the trans will be different because of the tailshaft. i know it is on other motors but idk for sure about the 3.0.

only the output shaft and tail section that bolts to the transfer case. the bolt to the motor dont change.
