Hey Guys, I was looking for people to post some pics of their '01-'05 ST's. Also, I was wondering if anyone has either stories of a lifted ST, supercharged, or 5.0 ST? Post up those Pics! :headbang:

Here's my 05 Adrenalin. Only mods are leveled torsion bars, LT265/75r16's and some clear corners. It's actually for sale right now....

Nice 'Trac, bro. Did you do the torrison bar twist? How is the ride quality- I'm thinking about doing it to mine.

I did. I went up enough to make the front the same height as the rear (bout an 1 1/2). It rides nicely still. I did install the factory Bilstein shocks from an FX4 LVL 2 ranger on it as well.

Sounds good... Did you do the Warrior shackles on the rear? I'm also considering that as well. But yea, that's a great idea putting on the Bilsteins... I just ordered some on Monday through summit.

Nope, no shackles on the back. Just leveled the truck.

Just a bit curious, why would you want to 5.0 a sport trac?

The "second gen" that isn't particularly too different from the first gen got the 4.6, and those have a much better power to weight ratio and gets better economy than the 5.0.

I prefer the body style of the gen 1's personally.

But that is the reason mine is for sale...need something bigger...looking for a super duty for next year for camping season. the Trac just doesn't cut it pulling the trailer long distances.

I don't have a sport trac but i've been looking for one for a few months now. I have a semi detailed list of stuff i want one to have so that's part of the reason why i haven't found one yet. I need to ask a new neighbor we got to keep his eye out for one since he buys vehicles for a living.

i dont know if i like sport tracs or not...i love the 4 doors but hate the lines, i would love to see one on 35's maybe that would make up my mind

i seen a second generation sport trac with a good sized suspension lift and what looked to be 35s, it was rolling past me so i didn't exactly get a great look at it. i just hate the fact that everything after the first generation are IFS and IRS. i like to have at least one solid axle somewhere under the truck lol

How about a Gen2 Sport Trac with a front SAS and leave the rear suspension alone? :icon_twisted: Should be easy enough.

I like the Sport Tracs myself, but only the Gen1s. I don't care for the Gen2s either.

I looked at Sport Tracs but wasn't willing to pay for any of the ones I liked. So, instead, I have a Ranger and an Explorer. I have to choose my vehicle wisely when I wake up in the morning.

I will agree- out of the box, a 4.6 is far better power to weight ration wise. After working in a parts store and a shop, a few things I have come to consider about the whole 5.0 vs. 4.6... (Forgive me if I'm stating anything obvious here)
1. On average, the 5.0 is cheaper to build at a reasonable budget, and has a larger aftermarket than the 4.6
2. The 5.0 came with forged Crank and Pistons out of the box from '86+
3. The 5.0 is a slightly stronger block and can take more abuse (again, on average)
4. The 5.0 has a better torque potential than the 4.6 w/ some minor mods on a reasonable budget.
Also, I agree with most of the other guys on this forum- the suspension setup of the gen 1 tracs is nicer- IFS and solid rear axle... The second gens have IRS, which I don't care for... Nice on the highway, but kinda limited off-road. In addition, I really like the fact that my gen 1 is essentially a hybrid of explorer and ranger parts from the '98- current rangers. The second gen is build on the '05-'10 Explorer platform, with more premium priced parts.

I've seen this trac before on here- Niiiiice Truck! :icon_cheers: What's crazy is on one of the Explorer forums, they had that truck posed next to a sport trac w/ the superlift... IMHO, that Black 'trac looked better (and higher) than the superlifted trac.
