00 ranger 3.0 motor locked up

Got a question I bought another ranger a 01 model xlt with the 3.0 and motor was locked up and parked it to the side but I just come across a 09 with a 2.3 I was wanting to see about swapping the engines if possible I got both trucks complete so I don’t lack any parts and willing to swap motor and transmission if it will work any advise would be great

I can't see why not.

What's the reason behind the swap? What are you working with?
Either way to use the engine controls from the 09 you'll need the complete electrical system and dash to make it anything resembling bolt in. Too many integrated modules.

I got the whole truck and figured would need the computer but I don’t have the keys didn’t come with but trying to figure out what all I’ll need to take out and swap over with the motor and transmission

Personally I would not. I dont know if themotor mounts are the same and that would be easy. Swapping out wiring harness as you are going from 4 cylider to 6 cylinder. Injector harness alone wont interchange and tha eventually goes all the way back to the computer. I am guessing computer wont interchange as well.

Yea I’ll be pulling harness and computer and installing into the other truck thinking of just swapping cabs idk
