Will the front passenger seat of a '00 Mercury Mountaineer fit in my '99 Ranger. . .previous owner got the passenger seat all ate up with battery acid!!!

Thanks!

OK. . .so the passenger seat fits for sure. . .all you need to do is enlarge the holes to accomodate the larger fasteners used in the Ranger vs. the Mountaineer. . .I didn't even need to switch the brackets around even thought the Mountaineer seats are power seats and the Ranger seats are manual.

I haven't installed the driver's seat yet because I need to make sure I can adjust the seat with the electric controls before I install it.

If you can help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Here's the link to the thread for powering up the Mountaineer seats. . .

Thanks!

Yes, and only one bolt hole on seat must be widened. I just powered through it with my impact. Same result.

I had to widen both of the front bolts. . .but just to get the second hole to line up correctly, not because the hole wasn't big enough for the bolt.

Check my build and I submitted ad much detail about wiring. And others input about an inline fuse or run it to an empty spot on fuse box. I went direct to battery. Mine thread on it with pics is in the Submit For Tech Library section.

Thanks Bilzy7!

Checking out your thread now. . .

Np, I love that they sit higher and you can raise lower front and back of seat. Makes it awesome. And I love that it says mountaineer, I think of it more as a badge that says I climb mountains haha. Only I climb them, cause my truck can't do crap right now lol.
