My Ranger is a 00 with a OHV 4.0. What year engines is a direct drop in? What years will swap with "minor" or limited changes?

00 is direct drop in.
98 to 2001 OHV will drop in with none to little modification/swapping of components.
A SOHC can be made to work, but you will have a CEL from a different cam sensor signal.
