I would just like to thank all of the white collar oil assholes that are laughing all the way to the bank. Pretty soon there will be no middle class in this country. Just the extremely rich and poor. It's sad what it is coming to.
an electric ranger uses fuel too, just not directly. You have to burn fuel to create electricty to charge the ranger.
You're selfish, look over what you just said. Some of you guys really gotta figure out that the world does NOT revolve around American's. You are a fine example of the typical American that the world learns to hate and it is really too bad because I've met so many nice ones but it just isn't enough to cover up scabs like you.
And Toyota's don't suck, if I had a choice I would've gotten a Tacoma over my Ranger. But I'm just a broke kid working McDonald's part time and I have to deal with paying higher gas prices than you and more for all my off roading parts. Suck it up princess, work a few extra hours to pay for that trip. That's the logical thing to do. But I guess Spock was right "Humans are illogical".
The problem is not supply and demand.. They just want you to think that, and frankly it works.
Back a year or so ago the price of a barrel of oil was like $65 bucks. The price of gas was over $3.00 a gallon. Lately, the price of a barrel has been up around $95-$99 a barrel. Guess what.... Gas prices are still around $3.00 a gallon until now.
So you tell me... If they can make money charging us $3.00 a gallon when the barrels were costing them $95 a pop, think of how much they were making, and or overcharging us when it was only $65 a barrel.
Bush and Cheney both have ties to oil, they don't want the price to go down.
The oil companies are pulling record profits still... There is nothing we can do.
Damn it!
Gas was $3.19. It just jumped here to $3.45.
I don't know why we're not making fuel from corn. Where's the E85?
I think the U.S. is foolish for buying all this oil. Think of what it would do if we pushed the E85 and started making corn based fuel. It would definitely help the farmers and keep more of the money here in the U.S.
You may be smiling but your still getting screwed. I bet gas where you live was under $1.00 per gallon 7 or 8 years ago wasn't it?
You may not like what I have to say but I'm saying it just the same. The REAL REASON we have this problem is mainly because we AMERICANS are spoiled rotten & even when prices go up BECAUSE WE USE SO MUCH GAS, we just keep right on driving anyway. As long as any of us refuse to cut back in some way or the other with total disregard to the prices, we are just going to keep on paying HIGHER PRICES. Like it or not but that's the real truth. And has anyone considered SLOWING DOWN on the highways? NOT in Virginia where I live they haven't. If anything they are driving faster then ever before. People's attitudes are such that they say: I bought it so I am going to drive no matter how high the gas gets but then they turn right around & started bitching & crying about how high it has become. Go figure that one out. HA!!
OPEC has already stated they do not care what people in other countries think, say do about the high prices of oil. It belongs to them & if anyone wants it they will have to pay OPEC's prices regardless how hard it becomes on everyone else. AND, gas is like cocain to ALL OF US. We ARE addicted to it & if you say you aren't then you are lying to yourself. We all have become so used to driving our cars, trucks, boats, planes, go-carts, racing machines etc etc that we #1) can't do without doing these things AND #2) we are not willing to do without either. It's a FREE country & we will do just as we damned well please regardless what anyone says. AND THEN???? We all sit back & bitch & complain about the high prices. And as long as everyone keeps this kind of attitude it is just going to keep getting worse.
I for one don't like it anymore then anyone else as the "trickle down" affect makes everything go higher in price. Food, clothes, medications, rent & everything else goes higher. And many people who work for a living & those on fixed incomes & poor paying jobs are going to be hurt the worst. AND you can believe one thing if you don't believe anything else. It's going to get a lot worse before it ever gets any better. You think the price for a gallon of gas is high now? HA!! you just wait & see what it's going to be in about 6 months. We will be wishing it was back at 3.25 a gallon. Just wait & see.
Supply & demand is just one part of the problem. GREED for the MONEY by big oil companies, share holders & suppliers & the demand by everyone to have access to oil & gas as well as no one being willing to cut back on useage is just all adding more to the BIG PROBLEM. So what's the answer??? HELL I dont' know. If I knew that I would be the richest man in the whole world. But I do know as long as the demand for gas & oil is what it is today & getting even worse, OPEC is going to drain us all dry & never look back.
Here in Virginina where I live we are paying 3.199 a gallon for regular gas with some stations charging as much as 3.259 in the northern part of the state up around Washington, DC. Have I cut back on a lot of my activities in order to save money? You damned straight I have & will do it even more if the prices keep going up & up. I like the money MORE in my pocket then I do seeing it in the pockets of the big oil companies.
