ranger refit/build thread

I think they would have to find a longer ramp for him...

That sucks. what's the point if the trucks competing are picked by people who may or may not know anything about the trucks?

you'd also probably be one of the few leaf sprung trucks to ever do well in that event.

i guess it's one of the ways to keep it fair.i'm not sure if i've got the numbers right, but i think they pick 100 entries and then readers vote for 10 out of those to compete.
I think the fact that its a 460 3trannied ranger on 44s would get you in the competition. I know I'd vote for ya especially if you put that ramp pic for ur entree pic. Shoot I'd almost think that they would feature a couple pages on your rig just mentioning it to them.

well, that may be,but there's a lot of wild trucks out there that the mags aren't hunting down.i think it comes more down to how many of the advertisers goodies are being featured on a truck that determines if it gets featured.it's all about marketing after all.subscriptions don't pay their bills, advertisers do.

I still say ya apply....then we all can figure out what to do next.....:D:D

its kinda a shame how it works. alot of people dont get the recognition for something thats simply amazing

Most have heard the expression "it's not what you know, it's who you know" and while thats a fine start, this is a perfect example of stage two in the equation, "it's not who you know, it's who you blow"

b&bs are the best bet.what type of stuff you going to be doing here?

and make sure to get a hold of me while you are here.it's always good to meet other members:icon_cheers:

Most definitely. What part of the island are you near? We've been checking it out....What a beautiful place! We are really looking forward to it. I'll PM you before we go, and we'll have to meet up for sure.

You have a great point about the advertising, and I'm sure it's true to an extent. Just put some ARB, Superlift, and MSD stickers on it....:icon_rofl:

If it's a readers choice, I think you would have a great shot at it. Your truck is intriguing, and very well put together. I'm sure it would capture the attention of anyone with a mechanical mind.

While this is true, I'm not sure they would have enough time to read through the 10+ year build thread :D

well,at least the 10 year build thread isn't as long as the 6 month one for the gt:icon_rofl:

The difference is that the GT will be done at some point in the near future.... This truck will never be done, but never be unfinished either :icon_thumby:

true this is....

I can hear them reading the entry form you would have to fill out................It has WHAT??!!?? HOW MANY???!!!??? You gotta be freakin kidding me!

You have a what motor mounted where connected to what?!

I think there would be a rather large amount of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot-ing going on in the offices of the officials.

He'd just be a smart ass when filling out the specs sheet

engine: 1
transmission: 3
transfer case: 2
axles: yes
suspension: where'd i put that?
Tires: 4
does everything work the way you want it to? When i remember how everything works.
If you could, would you change anything? I would have written an instruction manual for myself.
