no actual building/mechanical progress since i live in Northern Ont... and theres about 3 feet of snow everywhere and i have no shelter.... just waiting on warm weather to start.. COMMON SPRING!!!!

got some progress made on the doubler plate. just need to get cutting disk and grinding disks 2moro to finish a few things up. alum. plate under the doubler is 6061 grade. hopefully its good to use for my plate! its about 1/4" thick very hard alum!

nope about 4" of snow has fallen up here i have no where to work on it. its going to stay where it is till spring.

yea i have the same problem. i was about halfway through my new lift and broke a few u bolts, figured its no big deal ill just wait till monday and get some more made then woke up this morning and theres another 6" of snow.

and almost all of the snow was gone
it was raining for the last 3 days and +5

yeah we had a winter storm last few days.. hopefully the last of the year... one more month!!!! ill consider doing work in the snow/slush if i get some cardboard!

wow just talked to a guy who had some 39.5" Boggers for sale on some DYI bead-lock rims
he was looking for 1700$ for a set of 5. i was looking to spend around 1400$ for tires.

seems reasonable unless you looked at them.... abused tires and rims...
and the fact i would need to drive +6hours to get them i asked if he wanted to make a deal. Condition of tires - Condition of rims - Distance = lower price? lets make a deal!

told me to stop wasting his time... the whole 2sec. it took him to write this!! waisted a whole lot of his time... i wanted to have a conversation with the guy maybe get some leads on any other tires he might know of... and maybe make a new friend.. quick reply back from him saying

gotta go back and work on the buggy.....

did not want to talk to me oh well.. some people...

Theress gold in those there boggers! lol i sold brand new Hercules Trail Diggers Last year for 600$ paid 812$ NEW for them! used them for the better part of a month.

funny how first thing he says to help his sale is those tires and rims is " there worth 3000$ NEW!!! "
after you " USED " them..... they arnt exactly NEW! anymore are they.....

he replied with " I got 2 guys interested " well hopefully they buy them for your asking!

i sell my stuff near scrap price.... the blue mazda b3000's Engine and tranny will be for sale for 200$ if i dont sell it well i have a good backup just in case that will bolt right up!

i just found some 38.5x14.50r15 swamper sx's for my samurai on beadlocks for a grand

gotta wait till the guy gets his 42s b4 i get my hands on them though

you commented on my build thread you should know lol i wanted 37"s

and yea they a wee bigger then i was hunting for but its 2 good of a deal too pass up they are already grooved too. The bead locks will be re sold due to the fact that they are 8 bolt. and yea 5.29 gears (possibly a doubler once i figure out how to make one) and toyota axles for now. chances are im gonna be breaking things but ill run stock until then if it breaks ill upgrade it then

New Tires 1700$. tcase not fixed yet we just had another big storm... about a foot of snow fell.. but it was +5 Celsius and raining all day soo the snow should dissipate now! waiting on warm weather soo all this snow can clear the path for a work area!... P.S Working under a carport or yard with snow isn't fun...
