Gt-12

Holy hell... I think i may be slightly crosseyed and definitely have an eye twitch after reading through this entire thread, but well worth it. Car looks awesome. I can't wait to see video of this thing tearing up the streets. May I suggest investing in some narrow driving shoes? lol

Awesome work Gwaii

you went through the whole thing?today:icon_confused:

wow.that's brave.....hope you at least got some ideas for the console.

I definitely did get some ideas...

I started around noon, with a break for lunch, dinner, and a snack. I'm on PST also :D

HOT ROD Magazine should do an article on this build... i just read an issue from a few years back, and they had some crazy cars in there, but nothing as insane/amazing as this!

how about a couple of feet....

as you can see,my left foot is tight to the cage bar,and my right is tight to the firewall.this leaves just enough room to squeeze a brake pedal between.barely.

while i was in there with the camera,i figured i'd get a pic through the windshield.it's hard to get a feel for the view with a picture, but this is the best i could do.

I forgot I asked you to do this, Thanks. Not as tight as a I was thinking. I love the view out the windshield. I see back problems in the future, just from the torque let alone the seating position.

magazines aren't too interested in cars that are mostly built from scratch....they like to feature ones made by bolting together parts from their advertisers.

i've had back problems for years....this won't be anything new.getting out of it can be a challenge, though.

So how are you going to get the steering wheel centered in front of you? Jointed shaft?

There's nowhere to move the steering wheel to. When these things are stock it's normal to drive with the window open and your arm outside. So unless Gwaii has an extra joint in his arms he will driving around with the windows open most of the time.

ah,it's good to have someone else around here that understands these things:icon_thumby:

bones, such luxuries as a centered wheel and a seat that you can put your whole butt onto are not generally available on a car that's 4 feet wide.

:icon_confused: Convertible/removeable hard top an option?? :dunno:

hey just build the trans tunnel tall enough that you can use it as an armrest lol that should help your back problems

then it would basically just be a spitfire....the gt6 is way more rare.besides, headroom isn't the issue.it's the fact the car is 4' wide.

Ok, lets put this into a perspective you guys will understand. If you have a well upholstered lady in the passenger sea, gear changes go something like this "Excuse me, shift, repeat". The automatic will avoid this problem but steering could still involve some upper body contact.

yup,and since you both need to lean in toward the center of the car to ride in it,a good bump in the road could result noggins knockin'.

Hit a hard enough pot hole and she'll end up on the, shifter....
