That is the attitude that will expedite the end of man. We can't just say screw future generations we have to try to give them a world that is at least as good as when we found it. People like W6es6W have to stop being so self serving ( and raciest, nice flag ) and look out for someone other than themselves.

I do scoff at your thinly vailed attempt to justify racism. I grew up in Memphis, TN and some how I'm still able to see when an oppressive symbol is being flaunted. It's no different than if someone was flying the Nazi flag. Something denoting oppression is oppression. On a lighter note as long as someone isn't pushing something on others, it's their right to express a view. But if someone pushes it on me ( waves a racist flag in MY face ) I'll shove it up their ass ( not a threat ).

From what I understand, no one is questioning the fact that the planet is warming, but whether or not man is significantly contributing to it. I see as many con's as pro's among scientists.
It hasn't been that long ago that the fear was global cooling. I think probably the planet is going to do what it is going to do regardless, so I'll find something else to worry about. shady

No, there are not anywhere near as many "cons" as "pros" among scientists. There is in the news media, especially Fox. Where "fair and balanced" means making controversy where there isn't. It's the "equal time" fallacy. Just because you see nearly equal numbers on news shows doesn't mean that's what the population is. It means the reporters went out of their way to find a dissenting opinion.

There is now almost universal agreement among scientists that at least a significant part of the warming is due to human activity. You can argue about the remainder if you want, but the conclusion from that is that there is enough humans can do to change the equation.

You do realize that new data is acquired routinely, right? Climate change is not a religion, and a massive infusion of reliable data where there had been little before is why the global cooling thing died. Science is driven by data. If you are going to ignore it, you need a (valid) reason.

No newsperson is a reliable scientist. Ever. If you want reliable data and reliable interpretation, you go to scientific journals -- say, J.Met. -- and the IPCC.

You never seem to back up anything you say with provable data. Why is that? We are all supposed to take your word on everything. You rarely agree with anyone, you always have a different point of view on everything stated, no matter who makes the statement.
