Gt-12

I wouldn't be too concerned about bump steer. There will be so little suspension movement that I doubt it will be a problem.

that's one of the reasons i am willing to just get it better,as opposed to eliminating it.total travel(full droop to full bump)will be in the neiborhood of three inches.

Only the finest engineering eh Tom? I'm sure you'll be able to overcome the bump steer like nothing. I can't believe the steering shaft actually fits, will it hit the manifolds though?

what about once u get the headders back in though... u may have to move some pipe around to go around the shaft

ha ha....tricked you!

the left header isn't built yet.at the beginning of this thread(or somewhere back there)i mentioned that the header work was done before i had a car for the motor to go into, that's why the right side one needed modification.i almost started the left one a few times, but there's a lot more stuff to get in the way,so i didn't do it.

i'm really glad of that now-i have a clean slate for building it,and know it will miss everything.
all i've done is the flanges, those can be seen bolted to the head.

Contrary to what they say, I'm no low watt bulb Tom:D

I heard it was more like one of them new florescent bulbs...just takes a little bit to warm up and turn on :thefinger:

but even with low watts, they're still pretty bright.:icon_thumby:

Mike's conserving his energy, what is saved by the low wattage goes to his mouth. :thefinger:

Well, I just want to make it known... I want to apologize to Mike for what I said above. I didn't mean to come off as a dick, but I think maybe I did and didn't mean to. So mike, I'm sorry. And to the rest of you, sorry for my momentary lapse in judgement... Mike's a great guy and I in no way meant to disrespect him.

Hey man, I'm the only one that can turn energy into pure gold:icon_twisted: Don't worry about it Andres, friendly ribbing, no harm done:icon_thumby:

You're moving along on this thing Tom! Its looking great!

Yes, back on track. Realistically, how much space is there inside your fenderwells to turn those tires?

I'm always late to the party! Looking awesome, gwaii!

Last guy in has to bring beer ya know, right?

yeah free beer... :D

I was also wondering about wheel wells...

did someone say beer?:D

wheelwells will be tight.(as is everything on this thing)

i wish i had the tires, trying to figure everything out with measurements is not so easy, especially with things that move around.

if need be,i am prepared to make the wheel arches bigger, and there is a good chance i'll need to by a bit anyway.

of course, all the inner wells are being fabricated,so it's just the outer fenders that are a concern.

and andres,i know where you are coming from...i've said things that after a bit of time i've wondered if i've crossed the line, too.especially if theres no response for a while.
i'm pretty sure most of us here have a pretty good sense of humour-so no worries:icon_thumby:
