Sport Trac Fuel Tank Skidplate.

Tracs come with a t-case skidplate but do not have a fuel tank plate from the factory. You can get one from Ford Accessories.

Here are pics and part numbers for my '05.

Early Job 1 Tracs take a different plate, possibly the F57Z*9A147*B skidplate instead.

For the front end, a Ranger front skidplate can be shortened and made to fit, there is a Member Project at www.mysporttrac.com on how to do this. www.dixonbrosracing.com makes a skidplate/front bumper combo unit. www.superlift.com makes a front crossmember plate but it is not very large and mostly protects the diff and steering rack.

Looks good. In the first pic, it kinda looks like platsic, it is metal though right?

And, kinda off topic, but me and my dad don't agree on something. The other day he saw an Explorer and noticed the it had independant rear suspension, so he assumes that the since Sport Tracs are Explorer based (they are, right?) they have independant rear also. Where as I say they are leaf sprung, why would they put IRS (haha, your rear suspension is going to take your money) on something with a bed (kinda). As I can see on yours, they are leaf sprung. Did they change somewhere along the line to independant in sport tracks? Didn't think this would be too big of a distraction, sorry if it is, but I didn't think I needed to start a thread just for it.

the 07+ sport tracs were redesigned to be more like the regular explorers and now come with a IRS

Correct, the 01-05 Sport Trac was based on the 95-01 solid axle Explorer. Explorers from 02-up (I think) and 07-up Sport Tracs have IRS. Which BTW makes them impossible to lift.
