i want to tie my roll bar into the top and sides of the cab. try to keep the body from flexing quite as much. any idea's on how best to do this? i'd like to incorporate a set of LED trailer tail lights up on the top corners as well. just for added safety.

i have a piece of light strap steel on the bottom part where the window is, and some strap steel on the roof where the roof supports. could tie in with that, but with what, angle? small pieces of tubes?

well i tied it together using some small pieces of angle iron. i'll grab some pics tomorrow. it came out pretty well i think. i also wired a perma cool radiator fan to the front of my radiator (no AC). and i'm relocating the TFI module. took the old one out and soldered three wires off of it, mounting the new TFI module in the heat sink from an aerostar, and mounting it to the perma cool fan bracket. right out front to get the most air i possibly can.

tomorrow i'll finish the TFI, and cut out part of the floor so i can get more up travel out of my suspension. next is longer shocks. the rough country 4in lift shocks up front are minimizing my down travel up front.

i'll try to grab pics tomorrow as well.

nothing big for today, but i got the TFI relocation done, and the electric fan installed too. came out great!

That fan isn't going to work, it's pulling the air the wrong way, you need to put it on the other side, the blades are a one way type, and you can't just flop the wires on it.

any why couldn't i just switch the wires? seems to be working just fine for me. one positive one negitive. plug it in one way and it spins clock wise, plug it in the other and it spins counter clockwise.

The blades on it are not design to be a pusher type, only a puller type. if you have the fan on and turning the way it's design to work, then it is trying to pull while the truck moving foward is pushing against it, if you just reverse the wires, it still wont work because those blades are not design to turn rotate backwards.

ok i see what you mean, but even still. during crawling and slow trail drives, it still should push some air through the radiator, maybe not as effiecently as it would if it was setup as a puller like the blades are build for, but it should still help. its not my only fan so i intent to run it on a switch and only using it for trails anyways

other than that, i'm having some other problems. i finished up wiring my TFI and it worked great! then as i was pulling into my friends driveway to fix a her jeep, it just died. like someone pulled the plug.

i checked all my connections, they are good and solid, soldered with heatshrink as well. and i can plug in my new TFI into the original spot (on the distributor) and it still doesn't run. it won't even pop. just cranks and cranks.

any idea's guys?

found a short in some wiring on the drivers side frame rail. just behind the fuel filter. works like a charm now.

took a few pics from the swamp we played in a bit. and some flex too

what do you guys think, dana 35 TTB with two piston brake calipers? or dana 30 with EB coils?

just installed a msd coil. wow, the throttle response is much better, and has a bit more pep. def worth 30 bucks!

i used my grinder and cut the back half of my wheel wells out for more up travel. worked well but looks like i need to take more out yet!

sorry i havent been on much lately. but the brumby is running well. got the full doors on. got myvaircraft spot lights installed. and now im thinking of adding abother set of lights. im thinking of an unusual spot tho. i think i want to do a pair of 4 3/4in spot lights close to each other. mounted on the outside of the windshield, in front of the rear view mirror. this way they are high up for good lighting. lower than if they were on a roof rack. (keeps me from smacking them on trees). and a unique look.
i would have to build a 'box' around them so i have something to mount them to. but thats half the fun! what ya think?

I would like to see pics of these aircraft lights
