looks like i skipped a step or two here, but the panel is covered in new vinyl(spray can contact cement and lots of pulling and prodding).had to cover a deep recess with a seperate piece as the fabric would not stretch far enough.this left an ugly seam so i covered it with chrome wheel well moulding.....no more seam and it looks fancier.cut a filler panel to cover the insert section and covered it with red fabric(see the color scheme for the interior unfolding?)that's it for tonight-i hear a touch of vodka calling me.

it looks a bit better than before-just gotta do that bottom bit, plus the insert in the handle area.the detaills are the hardest part.

got started on the fronts too.

and a view from the back.the exposed seams on the sides are hidden by the seats and speaker boxes,i just covered these areas so if someone wants to look in that close they don't see raw wood.if the red looks as pink on your computer as it does on mine, rest assured that it is actually red.

Beautiful work mate, but has anybody else noticed that it looks a little bit like a Step2 mailbox?

wonder how it would look on some interior pieces :headbang:

so,got the new amps set up,and it sounded like crap.i'd been having some problems with noise in the system and was thinking that it was a wiring or amp problem as theres a lot of both.traced circiuts and checked speakers(theres 23 of them, afterall)and it turnred out the prime suspect was the head unit-a 6 cd stacker from an 02 sport trac that's been moved from one project to another over the years.i borrowed a cd player from a friend to try in it's place, most noises went away, but there was still a low level buzz that was very annoying.another friend said he had a newer deck he would give me,so i wired that one in and it sounded good.i'm happy with the sound(ac/dc shakes the whole truck-2300 watts is as loud as you think)but i don't like only having one cd in it at a time-guess i'm going to have to get with the times and buy a new head unit with an mp3 port, and download some music to replace the cd's.

dude i saw that episode of muscle car haha i'll let you decride it though, have fun and good luck with it. haha i like the F-350 351M crew cab long bed we have at the shop piece of crap with 93000 miles on it. i like it but it is a P.O.S.

too bad i didn't take pics of this one before i started-it had been sitting on the side of a logging road abandoned for 5 years.it was the very definition of 'piece of crap'......i guess every stone has a diamond in it if you are willing to polish it long enough:icon_thumby:
