I'm back from the 300 mile trip.....

I didn't hook up the overdrive yet....but it did get 18 mpg running in 4th gear....mostly on country roads...

I'm definately probably gonna hook up the overdrive tonite maybe...

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.....I can't work on the xmsn tonite....cause the truck has to roll around town first thing tomorrow to get the soundproofing for the cab walls.......teflon rings for the 2/4 servo...(that would have been cute---yanking the servo out tinite & the seals are still at the parts store in a bag with my name on it----"STUPI(E)D")

I'ma try to find BadDad in Opelousas the next time I go there this week....

But seriously........I needed to remove the passenger side exhaust from the header down-tube to the cat---

It took 10 minutes to remove it......

The pan is removed also....now what to do with those wires???

I got side-tracked....the book said the aux. accumulator might be stuck & full of stuff.....it was!!!!

The lock-up solenoid was fried & needed to be replaced.......30 minutes (including coffee break)

That's it for tonite....(unless I can't sleep)....the 2nd/4th servo will get rebuilt in the A.M. now that the exhaust is outta the way....

Annnnnnnnnd the wiring will get re-connected....(hopefully correct on the first try....I modified it 6 months ago to lock up in 4th gear only---but I found out I need 3rd gear loc-up also---with that Corvette governor installed, I can run up the rpm's as high as i want before letting it upshift---which is great fun---but I can watch the gas needle start leaning to the left)....

3rd gear lock-up will also help reduce that 3500 rpm down to 1500 rpm when cruising on the beach blvd at 45mph......

That's why I bought a 18$ xmsn rebuild book with colored pictures in it......

I think I'm going to crawl under the truck & do a complete seal replacement on the 2/4 servo....maybe I'll fall asleep & get some real rest!

Hey DG, I had a thought. Instead of wiring up your fancy robotic cup holder, you should hook up a screen that has this thread on it. Better yet, put the screen in AND the cup holder. I think I remember seeing enough wires to do that.

the 2/4 servo is did.........while I was there, I did the 1/2 servo also....the O/D wires are connected inside the xmsn, but I gotta buy a pigtail for the external xmsn eeeeelectric connector.

For a change of pace, I gonna install the front air adjustable shocks...tonite.....probably....maybe.....
