Thinking about getting some of those cheap 8500k Xenon bulbs. Anyone know how well they show their color, or just any review on them would be fine.

The ones I'm talking about are these.

I'm not in any hurry, I kind of want to get some projector style headlights anyway. It looks like someone sanded down my headlights and tried to polish them.

My friend bought some Nokya 6k xenon bulbs. He then upgraded to HIDs and let me try out the Nokyas. Never again will i run xenons with a colored filter. The light shined out a nice blue, but I could definitely tell there wasnt as much light as the regular clear bulbs. In the rain I could not see anything. If you want better headlights, I would suggest getting HIDs, but then theres the issue of projectors and stuff.

Yellow actually works WAY better in the rain... they use them on the Le Mans cars and stuff over in Europe not to mention high visabilty to other drivers.

Don't waist your money on the cheapo bulbs, get good ones.

you can probably fix your headights... just et a slightly rough sand paper, then go up... not sure the exact grits but you should finish with like 2000 or something then get plastc cleaner and polisher.

I'm not doing it to fix my headlights or see better. I can see just fine right now, I just want to add some blue color to them.

I'll be buying those eventually to replace my dulled down headlights.

Oh, and when I was searching for an image of them I got a link to my cars build thread on here. Google image search "Black Zx2 Headlight."

Find some PIAA headlights. They have a slight blue tint to them, but dang! They're nice and bright!

Hella Xenons have a blue tint to the bulb but not sure if that's what light comes out. They run $49.99 a pair at Advance Auto. Hella is a good name brand so it might be the ticket.

Get some Silver Star Ultras, I had them before I got HID's

silver stars are a good bright bulb but they are kind of pricey, for a few more bucks you could go HID. www.vvme.com That is what I suggest.

You would have to get new headlights too though for the HID

I have silverstars, i got 2 bulbs off of ebay for about $20, so definitely go that way if thats what you're doing. However, i think different sizes of bulbs react differently to the coating, as my ranger and my mom's trailblazer both have them. Both of ours are very white, but the trailblazer (9005 bulbs i think) has a slight blueish tint, and the ranger (9007) has a slight purpleish tint

I had Hella Xenon in my 93. they put out a whiter light, but they only lasted about 6 months if that. so now im back to runnin cheap halogens until i can get HIDs
