I have a 1988 Ranger 2.9 XLT that would not go into 4x4 when I got it, but when it did it got stuck there. I decided to get a look at the transfer case and it has the drive shaft with the dual universal nearest the transfer case and it appears to have been separated before so I replaced it with a transfer case I had. The one I replaced it with has a (looks like a PTO on a tractor) slip like shaft out of it. I think that the one that looks like a PTO is a BW1350 and the dual universal is a BW1354, am I correct?
