Just Plain Stupied

Aktually......you drill holes where needed and mount whatever you want to the panels (except an anvil....too heavy)......

then you make a fiberglass resin paste or use good old JB Weld to bond each of the nuts to the back side of the panel....

let it cure for a day or two.....then remove your components.....install the panels and re-attach the components.....

same basic procedure for attaching the panels to the inner walls of the cab...you cuts out 2" X 2" oak squares the correct thickness needed to make the panels sit flush with the door pillars...

drill holes at 12" spacing into the panel.......place a blind nut in the backside of each oak block & cover it with a piece of tape....use flathead machine screws to secure the oak blocks to the panel.....

put a big glob of your favorite adhesive on the backside of each wooden block & place the panel in the cab using good old duct tape to hold it in place til the adhesive cures.....

since I've got three separate panels----- a lower....middle.....& ceiling panel...I'll install the lower one first.....then the middle.....

the ceiling panel will require a little bit different procedure....I'll just space out the drilled holes in the panel........glue the wooden blocks to the ceiling of the cab matching the holes in the panel & let em cure(without any hole/blind nut in the blocks)......then I'll use wood screws to secure the ceiling panel to the cab roof (if any of the screws go all the way through the roof---I'll get on top of the cab & grind em down so they won't be noticeable.....
JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHA)

Then I'll pull it all OUT and cover it it with really expensive grey imitation leather upholstery.....then I'lll put the 15 speaker covers in place....:icon_surprised: (also kidding!)(about 15 speakers).....

not really grasshopper......you see......the older truks had 2 piece windshields with a metal flange holding the 2 pieces together in the middle.....

So....I'm used to seeing something in the middle of the windshield......(real or otherwise.....but that's another story)

Plus.....when the cigar smoke & mud get too thick on the inside glass....I can splash some mountain dew from my fancy elevating hot/cold cup-holder on the glass & BRUSH the slop off......git it! WAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAA
