That is awesome. Im thinking of making my doors removable but i just wonder how much of a pain they are to reinstall. Wiring, door ajar, etc.

It amazes me. They are a cool idea but, why do Ranger guys spend so much time trying to make their trucks into Jeep Wranglers? I have seen half doors, tube doors, solid axle swaps, and tail bobbing. All that does is make it closer to a Jeep Wrangler. I would just buy a Wrangler. Then you can have the factory half doors, solid axles if you buy one a few years old, possibly factory selectable lockers (with good axles), and a real rear seat.
Come on man we all know what being that relaxed (read: drunk) will do for you.i have been in multi rolls at speed..in my truck i still drive, and several other vehicles. usually i was a passenger and asleep...or passed out maybe is a better description.
i also drive convertables and motorcycles.
maybe those should be taken off the road too.

i hold no illusions about real doors over tubes with safety potentials. i also know people that been ejected from rangers with perfect doors. females at that. fortunatly survived, one is crippled, that happened in 88 iirc.
Let me clarify it's the half doors I don't like. I ride a bike I haven't got a problem with not having doors, hell if I go down on my bike chances are I'll be separated from it. The way I ride it's also not likely to roll over on top of me. Would I ride in a vehicle without doors yes, but I'm also not likely to be wearing a seat belt in it either. If something were to happen I would at least have a chance to bail, and nothing to get in the way. Convertible? Well let's just say they aren't as prone to roll over as a lifted 4wd truck, or truck period for that matter. I don't think I said anything about they should be taken off the road, just giving my opinion and view of the situation, which just happened to have been possibly the exact opposite of what everyone else said. Ok so you don't like me for it, if it made one person stop and think about a side of tube doors (or no doors for that matter) other than the fact that they just look cool, then I'm glad I made the post.
by the way i dont know if i metioned i made mine from chevy s10 blazer spare tire cariers. and i even used the latch. i just cut all the tire brackets off, added the 2 cross tubes, the length of it was already perfect i just welded spacers on to the factory pivot hole of the tire carrier. then welded the latch where it needed to go. ad drilled a hole and welded a nut to even use the ruber bumps so they dont rattle. easy and "cheap" way to get perfesional looking doors, i dont think i could have ever bent doors that nice
