My motor swap

ok well i have the batter ground to the block off, power steering undone, heater hoses off, radiator out, starter wire off, vaccum off, electric wires.

now i have to unbolt the 2 tranny nuts, the 2 engine mounts, and the freakin exhaust! how do yall get these off? i was thinking about just cutting it.

anything else that i missed? i wanna see if theres something else i need to undo before i try and lift it

anyone?

Sounds like you got it all ready. One thing I'd do before you start lifting anything is drain all the fluids. If you don't, you'll inevitably spill something all over your shop floor/driveway. Looks like a nice clean C4 you've got there. There are a tonne of shift kits and servo upgrades out there for it. Mine chirps the tires every shift. As for the exhaust, just cut it at the radius arm cross member. After that, you're home free. Good luck.

THANKS MAN! well i just cut the exhaust off at the same part you said. i still have to drain the oil. and what all do i have to unhook/take off the transmission for it to be free also?

oh and my c4 already has a transgo shift kit. dont know which, but i know it does

What carb did you go with. I use the auto lite 2 barrel that's on it. It has to be the best off road carb ever built. The damn thing will run on it's side. For a slammed truck I guess that's not so important.

The vacuum lines? Pull them all, You don't need them. On the new engine all you need is 1 for the carb., 1 for the brakes, 1 for the distributor and one to the tranny. The rest you can plug. Make sure you plug them or it will run like poo.

Let me know about the rest of the stuff in your/my pm.

i just bought a holley 600 4bbl, vaccum secondaries with the kickdown. i got it for 160 shipped

thanks for the vaccum lines too man, im getting you those pics as we speak. oh and lemme know if you have a fan

id like to do electric. but i think imma have to do it as a pusher.

haha yea yea make fun of my spelling lol. you should hear the way we talk HAHAHHAHHA

o yea i know man, i just ordered that today. and thanks man.
im going to use this intake for a while. but one day i will "body drop" it, which basically means, make the body sit 3" lower on the frame. so i need 3" of clearance above my air filter at least, so i need a low rise. the hsortest i can get, i dont want to do a cowl hood, or cut a hole in my stock one

:D Actually I know that 83bagged isn't a Cajun (also refered to as a Coon Ass down here) He's up there in redneck country (and I are one of those too):icon_rofl: So cannot be a cajun, unless he was transplanted.:icon_confused:

You just need to cut a hole in the hood and cover it with a scoop.:icon_thumby:

well today i got under the truck again and was going to unbolt the tranny and the crossmember, and i started to look at the "links" and theres ALOT of them... i just have to figure out which ones i have to disconnect now
