Does anybody have any experience with this product or a similiar product that they like to use? :icon_confused:

yes i have, i use this product all the time and swear by it. a few tips that i can give you are that the original product is UV light sensitive so you will either need to paint over it or buy the non UV sensitive formula. just read the can it will tell you, or look up their whole product line. don't apply it in very heavey coats, 3 light coats usually dose the trick and i recomend not to apply it in any temp. under 40 degrees, and to use their metal prep. also from my experience i don't grind the area that i'm going to apply it completly smooth i usually leave a little "tooth" as i call it for it to grab. um usually i leave it with either 40 or 60 grit, or you can apply it right over rust, like a frame or somthing i'd just take a wire brush and knock the loose scale off. i usually use it on new and old body metal, i used it all over my 89 when i was doing patch panels, but i also did the entire frame as well, 2 years ago and still is shiney and black. but ofcourse you have a few color options.

but just check out the rest of their products they are all great and i use quite a few of them, from the body filler to their POR putty ptach its great stuff, expensive but great.

my 2 cents Jeremy

It's amazing stuff. The traditional POR-15 is great for rust prone surfaces, the fuel tank treatment is one of the best on the market. Don't get any on your hootus, and you'll be all set.

Lol!

Been a while since I heard that.

I have used Por-15, good stuff, but it's rather expensive...I tend to buy the cheaper stuff, seems to work just as well if you prep it correctly.

You'll get a much better final product by sandblasting, epoxy primer, and paint. Rust WILL continue to grow underneath the POR-15 and eventually you'll be back to square one.

how much por did you use to do a whole frame?
