TRS Event 2026 Carlisle Ford Nationals

Well, I pulled in the driveway about 9:45, almost exactly 12 hours from when I left. I think it’s 10 hours of driving and then the other couple of hours are peeing (me and Lincoln), getting hundreds of dollars in gas, and putting some “nourishment” in our faces.

A long drive, and it may just be me (I can be a little different on some stuff), but it’s more tolerable, actually enjoyable in my big toy, when it doesn’t blow up two or three times on the round-trip! I’ll write up the Road Ranger report tomorrow.

It was great. Thanks again to @JohnnyO for putting it together and getting us a tent again! I don’t know how we’d survive or enjoy anything without it. Like I said when we were together, everybody always has great ideas that the guy putting it together could do for them, usually a thankless job. But having said that, we really need to work on getting a better location. I’ve gotten to know that guy Ed, who is one of the guys who runs the fairgrounds a little bit, let’s chat about it and see what we could work out for next time.

One thought, as there are zillions of rangers and guys at gals who play with them, far more than a lot of the other vehicles that are shown, maybe we could use that angle to get all the trucks into a better location. Just a thought.

And to think, they keep wanting to make it a toll road, because that will make things better...
State supreme court shot that down a few years ago. They wanted to make it a toll road because of all the trucks using it to avoid the Turnpike.

Road Ranger travel cost:
5860#s @ 65-75mph most of the way.

1,350.1 miles
$433.11 in gas
98.059 gallons
13.7 mpg
$0.32 / mile

After I drop the trailer, I’m going to track the mileage, the next gas tank or two

Edit: truck 4,400#, trailer 1,350# plus about 100-110 travel baggage

I think that's pretty decent towing a trailer.

Some of the videos from the weekend are starting to come out. Here’s one of the parade. The parade, which ends up parking you in the middle of downtown, is really a lot of fun. A lot of the local folks in the neighborhoods just put their chairs out front & sit and watch. Looking back at them is a real interesting view of Americana, the folks in an old Pennsylvania town. They wave, the kids sell homemade popsicles and bottles of water, the teens swarm and scream (happily), and when you park, the whole crowd around downtown wants to know about every vehicle. Terrific!

Look for the Road Ranger about 4:55 to 5:25 +/-

Look close when the Road Ranger just starts to move out of the frame, and you can see Lincoln‘s little face carefully looking out the window. I think the whole thing scares him to death.

Good to see you again. We saw you going the other way this morning, me and @sgtsandman went to meet my cousin for breakfast, he lives nearby. I think we were parked too far down the row and when folks were judging they just didn't walk that far. My bud from here did win a Celebrity Choice Award with his Early Bronco.

How did you know it was me?

You're the only one with a red and black road ranger. Everybody else got the white ones.

A good capture of scary baby on the tail of the trailer…
