If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
Axle code on the door is B6…. That should be 3.73LS. I’m getting conflicting answers…. Google AI says 3.73 and meta AI says 4.10LS

This is for a 98 LD F250 7 lug with a sterling 10.25 semi float…. I think… 12 bolts on an oval ish diff cover

google gave me a forum link to someone with one of those that confirmed 3.73 and semi float 10.25

If still there there should be a tag on the rear axle as well that should read on the bottom row 3L73 1025 then some other digits that don't matter... top row is date code and such that also doesn't matter...

AI = "no intelligence" you would be wise to avoid that garbage.

B6 should be limited slip and it appears that that code may have been used to designate either 3.55 or 3.73 ratio. Most of what I see says it is 3.73. But one chart that comes up lists a 5300lb B6 axle with 3.53 gears. I would almost bet that is the 7 lug version. Is there a metal tag on the axle? Or, get the wheels off the ground and count how many rotations of the pinion equal one full tire rotation.

The post I saw mentioned that 3.55 thing as well and it sounds like the B6 designation switched from 3.55 to 3.73 at some point year wise

Don't listen to AI, ever.

Just this afternoon I posted a few questions to reddit about a dirtbike carb.. and now when you search things related to that model of carburator googles AI overview takes its "facts" from my 2 hour old reddit posts that have 2 incredibly vague replies a piece.

Blew my mind.

All I wanted to know was if my carb was a genuine keihin or a china ripoff, and made note that it was pissing fuel into the air box..

And yeah.. now you can Google keihin pb20 and the overview says "users frequently complain about the carb pissing gas into the air box"... Click on the link that cites their sources... Brings you right to my brand new reddit posts 🙄

Frequently is apparently ONE person first of all.. and second of all it IMMIDEATELY scraped that info and used it..

One way or the other.. this AI nonsense is gonna cook us as a species.

I don't use AI for hard data. Garbage in, garbage out... Just as PJ found.
However it's given me ideas on subjects that i hadn't thought of, and that's been useful.

I asked AI the other day if my crown vic could beat my wifes fusion (2.5L) in a drag race.

When it described it said the fusion would win. Then in the spec graph it showed the vic with a faster 0-60 and 1\4mi time.

Makes total sense dont it?

Being a 7 lug truck with different axles it may have its own set of axle codes rather than a normal F-150. I am pretty sure 3.73 was the standard ratio with 4.10's being an option later on.

Disregarding hard data and making things up?

It makes perfect sense... if it was from a 2.9 fan.

Christ... Linus looks weird with long hair and a beard lol.

All that stuff is so incredibly creepy man... Objectively impressive like he says but yeah... There are gonna be farrrrr reaching consequences NOBODY wants with this shit. Especially when you combine it with all the identity verification laws (don't let them fool you, they're not AGE verification laws... They're IDENTITY verification laws) that our overlords are insistent on forcing upon us. The powers that be aren't happy just tracking our movements based off of our phone & vehicle data... They wanna be able to see & keep track EVERYTHING WE DO AND SAY on the Internet with a direct link to our actual identity.

Burn them to the ground. All of them.

** I liked the angine de poitrine shout-out though lol.

@pentode recently showed me them, increeeeedibly talented musicians, despite being French Canadian 😜 I highly recommend giving them a listen

Yeah so far I’m not impressed with AI. But, it’s been dead useful in identifying another truck my son bought that appears to be 1 of 10 and shouldn’t exist at all…. 2001 supercrew Lariat with a factory 4r100, AWD transfercase, a lightning blower, pursuit package, and 12” stretch for 6.5’ bed…. I’m still going to through a 3” thick binder of Ford DSO on the truck. Ordered by a corporate and dignitary personnel security transport company.
