Made an order for their blower kit for Princess on Thursday. CC was charged, received order confirmation e-mail, yet still haven't received tracking info. Reached out to ask for tracking but still havent heard back. Package only has a short distance to go between provinces.

I understand this isn't his main business and he isn't always available to respond to inquiries 24/7. Just curious if anyone else who purchased the SC kit for their 4.0 didn't receive tracking info, and had it show up. I'd really like to boost this truck before I get a call asking me if I can be in camp tomorrow🤣 but if I have to put it off till next month, so be it.

Received Tracking. Here's an old pic of the engine bay, post surgery for a new water pump, thermostat housing, and every coolant hose. And another old pic, just prior to new valve stem cores on all four corners🤣

Just an update, the kit arrived. Impressed with the contents and quality of everything. Thanks to Moddbox.

Now the next step, once they arrive, is case needle bearings. I greased the old ones and reinstalled them after mangling the new ones from my rebuild kit by treating them like ujoint cups🤣

The blower sounds great with a rebuilt snout and an impact on the old pulley, but its typically better to play it safe when dealing with a 30 year old blower. It's a shame the remanufactured units are perpetually out of stock.

I hear you on that one. I'd like to pick up a M90 for future use of one of these kits on a 4.0, as well as a M112 for use on the 5.0L with that other kit posted a few weeks ago.

Finding anything in the local salvage yards is unlikely. It's almost unheard of for anything with them to show up in the yards, and they are the first things to go when they do. Buying used off of a marketplace or Craigslist is a crapshoot.

Keep us updated on the build. I don't own an SOHC, but I've been thinking about picking up a cheap 4.0L V6 manual Mustang to set up as a beginner drift car to play with. Install the Moddbox kit for a bit more power. Not wanting to be compeitive at it, just want to learn to do it. When it's time for a new car, or I get tired of it, the engine w/ supercharger can be rebuilt and go into mom's '02 SOHC Ranger. Since the Mustang manual is a T5 that'll bolt up behind a Colgone, I've got another special project for it when the time comes.

I have an M90 for sale 250.00 US/shipped. It has one flaw that is the nut for the pulley snapped and I drilled and tapped for a bolt. Functionally perfect and was rebuilt with Eaton parts. contact @ microsprintno9@gmail.com

Some progress, some older pics. We're at the "odds and ends" stage now. Oh I guess I should run new hose for the evap valve to intake, oh I guess reusing the ford quick connector makes the most sense, oh I gotta retrim the brake booster vac line so the egr doesn't melt it...

Thanks for the offer, but that's a lower interest than the M112 at current. I've got the vehicle that might be used on, not the vehicle for the M90.

Besides both are of the back burner for now. The truck needs other stuff fixed that won't be helped by adding a supercharger (transmission and mybe axle). Also I might be packing up and moving in the next year or two. I'm not going to do the installs before then and it would be one more stuff that I've got to pack up and reorganize, plus the monies might not be there to do any of that stuff for a little while after.

That looks good sitting on there.

Lol it's been running great so far! It only left me stranded once! I made a mistake of installing the hub when it was -4C outside, couldn't heat it up enough with the torch to seat the hub. This lead to me throwing a belt on the coquihalla, and subsequently shredded the belt 20kms from my destination! Had a belt delivered to me, turned out fine. Ended up putting a torch on the rad angled at the pulley hub. Walked away for 10 minutes than hit er with the impact with a screwdriver to hold the hub still. Seated perfectly, temperature for this day was about 28C

Okay, let's discuss idler pulleys for a second. The bearings on idler pulleys just love to walk out on me- the only decent off the shelf option has been AC delco. I found deleting the dust cover on the idler pulley significantly improved the way the belt rides. I ended up replacing my alternator bracket as it was bent... crazy, right? Even crazier was the bad bearings in my power steering pump that was perfectly serviceable and leak free.

I've put 5000km on it since I last put her under the knife, and the belt has done nothing but track true. I still feel as though I need to throw an aftermarket idler pulley on with snap rings, but that's an eventuality, not an urgent priority. Worth every cent, to anyone considering the purchase:)

That's looks really well done!
