Big Block Drift Truck - Pic Heavy

^^^ yep, I'm thinking some 5" or 6" chimney pipe. Slice it up the center and flatten what you need to to hang it.

Something like this. Pretty minimal but will protect the contact zones on the back pretty well shielded..

Im thinking of doing something similar. i just want to keep it the same dimension as the opening. or just get some duct pipe from homedepot like alwaysFlOoReD said.

I like those Rick's radius arms. I'm trying to resist buying a set.

I thought of doing that but decided to stick with the stock style suspension cause its alot beefier and can take more abuse

well i mocked up the motor to see how much of the trans tunnel a have to cut out and i have to cut everything. when lowering the motor and placing it 3 inches back from where the "stock" motor mounts would be the block contacts the steering gear right where the oil filter goes. i want to keep the engine as low as possible so the only way i can do this is to get the front of the motor from behind the front cross member. on the bright side i can call it a "mid engine" ford ranger

Are you using a power brake booster?

im not. ordering a floor mounted pedal box with manual brakes. the truck is going to have split brake system, foot brake for the front, and hydraulic hand brake for the rear.

here is the one im looking to get:

FYI,I installed that same pedal assy in my Fairlane when I first built it. Never could get happy with it. Installed a newer version with adjustable pedal pads and it's 1000x better.

I still have the one you posted,I'll part with it for not much $$ if you still want to stay with it.

still not 100% sure which one i will end up with. I have to wait until after i put the roll cage in to see how small the footwell will be, because the way the motor is sitting now i still have to cut another 2 inches off on the driver floor. The width of the motor almost the same as the frame rails

those long bolts on the chains make me nervous, especially with the chain angle. I always clamp the chains / brackets tight.
