What did YOU do today?

So… it’s bad. It’s really bad. I’m not sure if it would cross a line if I posted it here because it isn’t really Republican/Democrat political. It’s more like small town crap. But these ordinances… they have the potential to screw every person living in the township at the whim of the Code Enforcement officer… who is NOT elected. Looks to me like a clear 4th Amendment violation and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Punishable by fines and imprisonment. Not even allowed a pile of lawn clippings in your yard. Among other things. It’s bad. I’d like to post it so you all can see evil…

Unfortunately, I think it would cross a line. You already know my feelings on it. Jim might be ok with it being in the staff area or maybe the tailgate but I would talk to him about it first before posting anything.

Pretty much where I was at with it. It would have to be Tailgate or staff but I’m not gonna bother Jim with it at the moment

Well, my temporary shop now has electric. And a light. 4’ LED shop light to be precise. Tore apart the junk splice in the temporary line to dad’s equipment shed, cleaned the wires on the end, put them in a weatherproof box then connected some flexible watertight conduit and up to a weatherproof box with outdoor cover with double outlets over top of my workbench. One of those has a USB and USB-C charging ports built in. Then I have a weatherproof single box and cover on the end of the workbench also wired in flexible conduit. Shop light hangs from the peak and plugs in the upper box.

A little hard to follow, but I’m sure it will be fine.

Don’t forget to have 1 foot in a bucket of water when you try it out.

Re-reordered parts that got lost in USPS shop in LA....
Over 30 days without moving... repeatedly told "just be patient it will move" - well after 30 days the sellers (business not personal) marked it as lost and gave me my money back.

Sorry, I didn’t get pics yet. Temporary shop is currently a hot mess, I need to finish getting it whipped into shape for now. Didn’t really want to take a pic until I cleaned it up some. It will make sense then.

I only buy electrical hazard rated boots, so unless I’m in flip-flops, I can stand in water and not get zapped unless I ground myself out. Of course, I try not to stand in puddles to work on electric, but I’m an old hand at doing electrical.

I’m sure it’s great, I wish you good luck with all of it!

I finally found the strobe lights I want for the sides front & back of the F250, the ones that don’t have flash patterns. I’ve got a few controllers on the shelf.

I learned my lesson buying them with the flash patterns for the Road Ranger. You have to touch them to ground or touch them to power to change each one’s flash pattern. After a few times, they always lose the matching sequence.

These are basically just lights, but with the brightness of those strobe lights. So with the controller, I can set the pattern I want by wiring them to the different outlets of the controller, and they never go out of sequence.

Buying 20 will leave me with some extras. I’ll definitely have them mounted in the next year or two..

Buy good ones (Signal Stat, Sound Off, etc.) they have a communication wire and always stay on the same pattern.

Got my hairs cut and spread some grass seed around in the back yard so that, hopefully, there will be less bald spots by summer.

I don’t think haircuts prevent baldness.

Shop progress so far. You can’t see the light but it’s obviously on. The double outlet box with cover is upper right hand in the pic and the single box with cover is on the end of the bench. Still have some cleaning and organizing but it’s useable space and yes, there are security cameras. Next steps on progress with this will be extending it another 4’ (would bring it to about 100 square foot) and wrapping it with steel instead of tarps.
