im going to the junkyard on wednesday to get some explorer seats or escort gt seats..dont like the 60 40 bench seats and my passenger seat is broken. just wondering how much they would cost. im guessing like 40 to 50 bucks a seat.

what you guys think?

thanks

escort gt seats

Several years ago I swapped my 60/40 for escort gt buckets. The seat base matched good but the passenger side was a little cramped for leg room so it depends on who's riding shotgun. My wife is 6 ft tall didn't like them.

umm i think here in memphis there like 20-30 bucks but they alll suck so bad iv been lookn since june nothing worth unboltn from the floor....

Just an FYI. I got 95 cobra seats in yesterday. I can show you pics.(working on posting them.) but if you cut the 5 rivets off the top of the ranger brackets. They will bolt up to, id guess 94 to 98, mustang seats nicely. Im not sure about the years after that. but maybe.

Well you cant see the brackets. But heres the pic.

interesting. so you're swapping over the the entire dash as well from the cobra?? are you going with the cobra drivetrain as well for this??

Depending on how creative you are....or how good you are at taking on challenges you can do about anything you want to your interior! I have installed a 2001 Ranger medium Graphite dash and 2002 Explorer seats and console!

Yeah Stackz, except im turning the stock 302, into a 347. My donor car had a tremec tko. i also got the rear with 4.10s, and im pretty sure its got 31 splines in there. And that exploder int looks alot better in a ranger then that which it came from. Nice work.

i've got a 95 ford taurus i'm parting out... will those bucket seats (with arm rests) fit the same (bolt-patternwise) on the 60/40 seats of my 89 Ranger Reg Cab?

I've got an '89 Ranger extended cab that I need to at least get the driver's seat replaced. It has 400k+ miles on it and the seat sits so low that a 5'4" guy like me can hardly see out the window. What would you suggest that is cheap? I wouldn't mind buckets, but this is just a dump run truck at this point. I do have to say that you just can't kill a Ranger, the 6 cylinder on this puppy is still strong and has hauled many cords of wood.

I have a pair of mustang gt seats that i plan on using and just noticed that they are both passenger seats! Not a drivers side and a passenger side. Wondering if i can use a passenger seat for a drivers seat? Unfortunately the recliner handle and lumbar knob is on the right side but i got these seats for free. So i can deal with it if it will bolt in. Gonna try and come up with center console cause i am going floor shift for my 302 AOD. Project 97 extended cab 2wd.

Hi everyone! I'm new here so I'm not sure how everything works. I'm working on an '87 Ranger XLT Zimmer Package and I'm trying to replace the seat brackets as the ones on it currently have rusted out and are no longer bolted to the floor. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brackets I could use as a replacement? Thanks for your help in advance!

Ford Ranger for sure..... I think 1st and 2nd gen both (83-88 + 89-92). Might have a 2nd mind check me before you spend any money.
