TRS Event TRS 25th Anniversary Fall Adventure - Land Between The Lakes - September 5th – 8th, 2024

And, before I forget- two more things

If t-shirts are still available count me down for one, if you need size it’s a medium.

Two, can someone adjust headcount so it’s me+1, a friend is for sure coming. I just want to be sure Uncle Gump has the right number for pizza planning.

As far as I know, T-Shirts are only offered through the TRS store. I don't believe any will be brought to the event for selling. Usually, the only things handed out at an event is stickers and maybe a prize or two.

I can’t seem to tell what I’m doing in this thread… it’s either asking actual questions, or just making myself look like an uneducated doofus. Not sure which.

(this is very sarcastic btw)

Time To Register For The 25th Anniversary Adventure!

This year we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL) in Kentucky from September 5th-8th, 2024. This isn't an event that targets off-roaders. This has something for everyone whether you're in a 4x4 or 2WD. If you're looking for some great off-roading you can hit the Turkey Bay OHV area, or you could check out some of the challenging unmaintained forest roads in the area. But there's a ton more to see and do. There are numerous sites to see including the Elk & Bison Prairie, Homeplace 1850s Working Farm, and Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory. The Fort Donelson Civil War fort and Casey Jones Distillery are also nearby. If you're bringing the family, the Prizer Point KOA campground (our host campground) has a pool, boat rentals, fishing, basketball and volleyball courts, and other activities to keep the family entertained. When we did this last year we simply split up into groups based on interest, and then met back up at the campground later in the evening to socialize and have dinner.

In addition to all of these activities, TRS will be hosting a scavenger hunt. You'll get a list of what to look for when you arrive, and whoever finds (takes a photo of) the most items on the list wins a door prize. Speaking of door prizes, this year our sponsors will be providing us with LMC Truck gift cards, LED light bars, air pumps, and more.

Let's not forget about the pizza! Over the last several years we have been providing campfire baked pizzas to order for our participants. These are true pizzas made on a crust with toppings of your choosing and fire baked to perfection! These may truly be the best pizza you will ever have. Heck, just hanging out by a campfire with my TRS family and eating these pizzas are worth the trip to me.

Register:

On the event page it has said that registration will begin on May 1st, and today's that day.

We've been doing campfire pizzas for the past few years, and they have been a huge success, but UncleGump has been footing the bill for them.

This year we will be charging a $15.00 registration fee. That fee will include:
  • Campfire Pizza
  • TRS 25th Anniversary Key Chain
  • TRS 25th Anniversary Decal
  • Door Prize Ticket
  • 25th Anniversary Banner Under Your Forum Name
The registration fee is $15.00 + $5.00 for each additional person. Children under 5 years old are free. You do not need to include them in the number of people attending.

These are some of the door prizes that we will be giving away so far:

Deadline to register is Friday August 23, 2024

Deadline to register is Friday August 23, 2024. We will be on the road in the following days which is why I want to know who will be attending and how much pizza supplies to bring before we leave.

This is a great opportunity to get together and hang out with other Ford Ranger enthusiasts and it doesn't matter if you have an off-road truck, or a street truck. There's something for everyone!!

I look forward to seeing you there!!

I just want to remind folks that there is a registration link for this event. It's buried back on page 7 in this thread. This is separate from the campground reservation. You can see the info in @Jim Oaks post I quoted above. I know there was some talk also about 25th anniversary t-shirts... I'm not totally sure where those stand. Maybe Jim can post a follow up on those.

The T-shirt thing may be where I and @CamTheHedgehog getting our streams crossed. I forgot about the anniversary T-shirt discussion.

I registered as just myself. It now looks like I may have other people part time. How should I handle that? Since it might be up to 3 can I use the $15 link again to add the correct amount?

Yes, that will work.

I agree. At least, I can’t seem to find a 25th anniversary shirt on the store.

Looking at the attendee list, this looks like it's going to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest event we've had. I'm a relative youngster to the forum. So, there may have been bigger attendances in the past. The camp area is going to hopping!

Anyone got a copy of the song Convoy?

I'm registered to come, can't remember if I only paid for me or any extra. Still debating on campsite. My daughter will be back in school and not sure if I'll make it Thursday. Also fair bit newcomer myself.

I paid for Jessica's registration. Since I wasn't sure, at the time if she could go or not, I only paid for myself. Consider the extra $10 going to the cause for unexpected expenses.

Which means I really need to call tomorrow and register.

My friend and I have decided to go for the hookup tent sites, mainly because I’m not a super experienced camper (read: kinda lazy) and want lighting and such. Hopefully when I call they can put me in a site next to others from the group.

They are all lumped together in one area. The map does a rather poor job of illustrating the tent camping area, electric and non-electric. The same goes with the bath house/bathrooms. They are closer than they appear in reality compared to what the maps shows.
