Hello, I am planning out a turbo setup for my ranger.

My 99 ranger has a returnless fuel system which prevents me from using a boost-ramping fuel pressure regulator.

I know the rangers before 1998 have a return-style system, so I was thinking of using the return-style system from those years.

Is this a (mostly) direct swap or is there more to it? Will the return system support the power I am looking for?

There’s a junkyard nearby with an older ranger with the return style system. It’s easy for me to get so this is why I’m wondering

you would just need to tune the truck to add fuel at boost.

if you went the return route, rails.pump, lines im sure the computer wont like it and start throwing codes anyways.

I have a turbo on my 3.0 right now but i think i went to big still playing with it not making any boost atm.

How is your exhaust setup looking? What size turbo?

Exhaust I cut from just behind where the Y ends past the first cross member it’s 2->2.5 as that’s the same as the out on the turbo. Here’s the turbos info in a pic I thinking of getting one with a .57 a/r exhaust housing to see if that’ll spool.
