What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

^Nifty idea to set toe-in! 😊

Removed the mechanical fan on the '96, got my muffler placed & welded in, hung the exhaust at the height it needs to be, and slightly bunged-up welding an o2 bung onto the collector... oh well.. still steps forward!

Put about 650lb between the dog, the GF and I in the truck and found it handles way better with weight in it. I knew it rode better but didn't expect it to feel more stable.

FYI: a Saint Bernard can fit in the front seat of a ranger with a big guy but is better to have an automatic. It kinda sucks to fight dog butt for 2nd 4th and reverse. We made it home fine though...

Picture of dog required. Picture of all 3 of you in the Ranger earns you extra points.

I used to have 2 small St. Bernards (about 100# each). I know how fun they are.

I have the pic but lately I have been having trouble uploading pics from my phone, even linking pics on my Facebook page have been problematic. I'll have to wait till I'm home and load them from the PC. I have issues using the android OS.

Fuel gage hasn't been working all that great lately so ran it out for more miles on this last tank. I have a three gallon jug in the back just in case. After doing some math, it turns out I'm getting over 20mpg! Not bad for a 4.0 OHV with 216k and running the ac all the time with this heat wave.

Fudge. That was supposed to be a frame donor for dad’s truck until it jumped the blocks that were put down when unloading it… nobody was hurt, but that hurts to see…

Here is the bonus points picture I said I had. I had to try to stick my arms out the window to get the 3 of us in the shot but the sun really bleached the photo's I took because the phone was in the the sun.

Ok. You get 200 points and a gold star. The points would have been higher. But using an extended cab is cheating.

Other than driving the '97 to work and back the closest thing I've done is last night put the charger on the '00 Explorer with a spare battery in parallel (dumb smart chargers...) then drove it to the back 40 to get the water jug I left to a tree seedling to try to remember to water it... I think it might have died... I'll keep trying though, anyway, refilled the jug then moved the jet boat so I could mow under it...

My daughter's ST Bernard is about the same size. A lovable, big oaf!

Changed sway bar links today…. This explains why the truck handled poorly on the road.

Right? LOL At least they were still linked... Wonder why the one bushing is so much worse looking than the others?
