I love my 2002 ford ranger fx4 off road and i love driving 10.5 miles round trip to work and back during the week time.

My question is would me and my dad and my uncle feel good and be comfortable in my 2002 ranger super cab driving from puyallup washington to montana or arizona ?

My uncle is 6 foot 4 and 185 my dad is 6 foot 5 and 230 im 6 foot 1 and 207 pounds.

We are a tall type family and i want to go on a another vacation to arizona or montana here in this summer of 2024.

OR should i just rent a full size 4x4 truck for my family ?

Im 33 years old with mild autism - thank you for your advice.

The cab space in the Ranger, even with the Supercab makes three adults and a long trip[ anywhere a hard no. The jump seats are only going to comfortable for children less than 10 years old and with everyone being so tall, doubt even a 6 year old would be happy back there. The Ranger is a great truck. So I'm not knocking the truck. There just is limits to what you can do with it.

If you were asking about two people, I would say yes. The cabin is a bit cramped but livable for a longer trip somewhere.

Honestly, to simulate, push both the driver and passenger seats all the ways back. Then sit in the back for five minutes. Then decide if you want to do that for 13 hours.

How about my 1993 ford f-150 supercab would the 3 of us still be cramped or uncomfortable ?

Not unless your uncle is driving in a separate vehicle.

The back seats are tight for normal size people. I doubt your uncle would want to ride in the back two miles to go buy ice cream.

I feel like that would probably be worse since the back seats face forward instead of to the center.

Same logic applies, easy to test.

The F150 is the better choice. But, to know for sure, load all 3 people up and take a ride for an hour or more and see how that goes..
