2003 Rear Brake Disc Conversion: Was it Worth It?

Do you have the full ABS with sensors up front or just the RABS, if just RABS I wouldn't count that as ABS... all it does is keep you from sliding sideways at most...

I really don't know. It's 2003. I can hear it working on an emergency stop. It also keeps the truck in a straight line.

If it has full ABS there'd be a hunk of aluminum in front of the brake master cylinder with a mess of brake lines coming out of it and a couple electric solenoids. That's what my V8 Explorers have, works decent, the RABS in my Rangers I've felt a few times, hasn't worked in many years on the '90, I don't dislike it enough to remove but don't like it enough to fix... I know the rear brakes on the '90 work because I tried to do a burnout and it flat refused...

Thanks. I will be doing the front discs today. Then I will have a better idea.

I think 1998 was the last year for RABS. Even if I'm off by a year or two, a 2003 should have full ABS as standard equipment.

That would be my guess, yes, based on the way it handles under hard braking
