Have you ever seen those cars with the big camera contraption driving around, kind of slowly too? Well early this august we were headed out somewhere in the ranger, as we got to the end of the drive I see this car go by with the huge camera thing on the roof, Well- I guess we are going to be on google maps now. I just looked the other day and there we are. Funny thing is they blurred my confederate flag front plate, the signs on the ranger trailer advertising eggs @ $2/dnz and the plate on the ranger trailer (that is long expired and never was registered to that thing)

I think the system is designed to automatically blur identifiable things from the pictures. People, license plates, advertisements, etc.

I know, noticed that too. Last year the picture of our old place was took as the mail truck was leaving, it was all distorted too.

Things like ElectricalPowerEquipment are also often blurred\deleted from free GoogleMaps\StreetView images.
Having retired from an Engineering career, if certain HighDollar fees are paid to Google AKA Alphabet, by companies doing survey\engineering work, all of those blurred\deleted items can be made to magically reappear !

The inverse i also true. You can have your property COMPLETELY removed from google maps street view. You just have to state it's private property and don;t want it revealed. Not sure of the exact process, only that it exists and can be implemented though some references point to HOAs. Good luck?

I have noticed that sometimes you'll see a property that is just completely blurred out on street view from all angels.

Well the Google maps car has captured the house and Ranger twice now. Once in 2013 and again this year back in August
