What’s for dinner tonite!

I don't recall ever seeing a wallyworld with a breakfast buffet, but I also haven't been in one for at least 10 to 15 years.

I try to avoid them merely out of spite for all the damage they have done to small town economies across the country.
the buffet is a truck stops...

Sounds good. I do eggs, bacon, and cheesesteaks and such on a portable gas grill with a Coleman griddle? I's an older one from the 80's and very basic - non stick with two handles. I basically live on the road so camping is my way of life :)

I did entertain getting a griddle like that but couldn’t find one that fit my grill. Really my biggest complaint about my grill was being a single burner. That made it pretty entertaining to cook stuff that needed more of an indirect heat. I can get a 2-burner flat top that is roughly the same footprint with a little more surface area. I’m definitely leaning that way. A little bigger is the 4-burner Camp Chef portable that will also fit a pizza oven adapter, but that’s out of budget right now. If/when I get another portable grill, I want a 2 burner.

The butter sauce, I’m convinced, is the ticket with a flat top. Lisa’s work squirts that stuff on with just about everything and my buddy got a flat top, he’s done some stuff with it and some without. A good burger with some seasoning and the butter sauce is fabulous and if you throw some onions on for anywhere between a slight warm-up to caramelized with butter sauce… mmm…

Little farm stand across the street had corn in today. Tomatoes are from my garden. No slicers just yet but the wife has been on me about fried green tomatoes. Told her after my first BLT I would make her some. So now I'm on the hook for those one day soon.

No question... my favorite summertime dinner...

Crispy hash browns with steak and eggs.

I like breakfast for dinner once in awhile.

Tried a taco truck that I had heard is good. The rumors are true. Very, very busy with local construction workers.

I tried something new and made creamy garlic parmesan chicken.

This would be good over pasta or rice (I limit my carbs, so I just had the chicken). I made this with elephant garlic, it has a milder flavor than regular garlic raw and a slightly sweeter flavor when cooked. It’s a good way to add a little bit of a sweet flavor to a meal without sugar.

@Roert42 tell me more of this Jamaican Beef Pattie Mon...

Jerk seasoning?

Jerk BBQ?

Slider style on a tostona?

I’ve been putting off looking for a new grill. Might have to go looking soon so I can post some dinner stuff again, lol. I hate cooking nice stuff indoors in the summer, got too much to do outside to spend that kinda time inside.

There are many ways you can go. I personally would give you just two words.

Well, someday a nice charcoal grill or a wood fired grill will be on the list. Right now, I need something portable and quick, which means propane. I’m leaning towards a Blackstone or Camp Chef 2-burner flat top at this point, or something along those lines. Then I’d like a portable 2-burner regular grill.

They are like empanadas, the dough is more flakey and has seasoning mixed it that make it yellow. usually filled with a seasoned ground beef, some onions and peppers and such, kind of blended up into a paste with the dough folded over then baked.
