They are like empanadas, the dough is more flakey and has seasoning mixed it that make it yellow. usually filled with a seasoned ground beef, some onions and peppers and such, kind of blended up into a paste with the dough folded over then baked.

I could go for some of that.

No, these were Burbon burgers from the local butcher shop. Pretty good. Going to have their Gyro burgers tonight. But yes, those are deer antlers and venison is often on the menu… we had venison stir fry the other night actually, just hard to find a decent sauce for that, couple times we found one we really liked, all of a sudden you couldn’t get it anymore.

Just a cheap Coleman mess kit. Thin as a beer can aluminum that warps if you throw a hamburger in a hot pan.

Yeah, they aren't the best but better than nothing. I think I have a few of those squirreled away in get home bags still. Waste not want not.

I have another kit that’s similar, but stainless heavier but seems much more stout. I bought it because I had dreams of going backpacking and I figured it would hold up better being smashed in a pack and tossed around. Sits in my camp box with the aluminum one. -_-
