So, with my health improving, I’ve gotten much more ambitious about cleaning up my house and property from the neglect, caused by my injury and illness over the last 10 years. And now I’ve committed to go to the Carlisle truck nationals. So last Saturday, I went to the wholesale nursery and bought a dozen bushes I plan to install as I fix some drainage problems that developed. My Ranger project was to move the fleet around so I could get the Road Ranger’s trailer in front of the garage where the welder is to get that ready for the trip.
Of course, life intervened, and I’ve had to do a little more real estate than I usually do in my semi retired state, but the biggest problem I have is that overnight it shot up to the low 90s, and it’s supposed to be in the mid to upper 90s for the next few days. Well, I’m fat and old, so I’m pretty much toast outside above the low 80s, especially if there’s high humidity which is common.
The plan on the landscaping is to get a few laborers from the front of Home Depot and let them do the fun stuff, and I’ll work on the trailer in the morning and in the evening. Too bad you can’t pick up metal men and welders the same way.
I’m very thankful to The Man Upstairs for helping me regain my health and stamina so I can do this at all. I couldn’t do it a year ago.
I’m still really looking forward to the trip.!
