Affordable, heavy duty, waterproof totes.

I would have ended up with some of those Plano sportsman trunks but they were just a hair too wide for the spot they needed to fit in - they are nice boxes and reasonably priced. Rubbermaid Action Packer is what I ended up with, they are more spendy and not exactly waterproof but I think some weatherstripping would fix that.

I ended up channeling my inner Gump and went with rigid.

I bought the middle section of the Pro Gear System Gen 2.0 stackable setup for now. It's mostly big enough to hold the kitchen-y type stuff were gonna need for a rather minimalist trip up north to ride wheelers next weekend.. but for a longer trip I'd definitely need to add the bottom rolling section. No trips like that until next year though, so I got some time.

I noticed the new 2.0 stuff last time there. Usually means 1.0 stuff is going away. At least the two are compatible.

I better go get that big rolling tote before they're gone..

Oorrrrrr... wait for the big rolling tote 2.0!

I imagine I'm gonna end up with the full kit plus the tote at some point. I'm happy with my purchase so far, and I'm sure they'll do me just fine. Christ.. they seal so good I had a hard time opening the thing at first after I undid the latches because the inside had a slight vacuum lol. Definitely no worries about anything sneaking it's way inside.

Here it is in action up at 'camp' over the weekend. Worked great.

I was getting ready to eat some delicious mountain house sausage gravy and biscuits lol.

If any of you enjoy drinking alcohol made by Mr Boston brands of maine... thats their maintenance guy.

When he started there, it was owned by whoever made the pinnacle vodka. He worked there for about 2 months before the owner decided to sell the company for a cool 800 million.. and gave all his employees a Years salary as a bonus.. lucky bastard. Then they were making Jim beam stuff for awhile, then whoever makes fireball bought the whole setup, and now it's all Mr Boston stuff.

I had a chance to look at the RIDGID 2.0 stuff the other day. Not a bunch of difference IMHO... other than the ability to hang on the wall. They still work on the originals... but I feel they cheapened the latches.

Honestly... I don't think you can get much better in all three categories then these RIDGID boxes.

I did pick up this one while I was there...

I'll have to stop by this week and see if I can get myself one on clearance, 50$ is a pretty solid deal.
