86 Bronco II... G-Unit

Exhaust will find the opening though. Just Food for Thought.

Good work, that will be handy for when you have to change the pump. I may have to retract my recommendation for the Kemso pump, mine kicked the bucket last week  Wish it was as easy as cutting a hole to change mine.

I just picked up a M12 jigsaw too! Looking forward to using it. FAO had a jigsaw/multi tool kit with two batteries, charger & bag for $114 shipped.

That little saw works smooth. I think you will like it. They had a rewards member day yesterday at Blains. I had a gift card from fathers day... $25. I also had $25 in reward points... 15% off using your Blains card and 5 points for every dollar spent. It worked out to be cheaper then a corded craftsman saw... after the discounts and cards it cost me right around $30 out of pocket. I also cut the 1/8 inch flat steel with it... because it was there. It works smooth and a definite upgrade to what I had.

Yeah... I bought an evil energy pump. Like $31... came packaged well with caps on inlet and outlet and vacuumed sealed in a bag. If it works... I figure I will buy another and keep it in the Bronco box. Might be a good way to ensure I don't have to change a pump in the future.

Nice job. The last one I cut a hole for I had to carefully wield a sawzall. It was what I had at the time that used batteries. Jigsaw would be way easier.

I have one of the M12 jigsaws now, picked it up as a return on clearance, looked like someone used it once and returned it, and it wasn’t expensive at all. I have a corded Ryobi and an ancient Black & Decker coded. I try to use the corded stuff for heavy work, but should any of the corded stuff I have die, I don’t know that it will get replaced with corded at this point

Got to mount my fuel filter... make one more line and put some fuel in this old thing.

Hows your body liking the activity?

It doesn't... healing is a pretty slow process for me these days. Nothing like in my youth.

I also swear they caused some damage to my right wrist and thumb with the radiation.

Well... fuel filter/bracket mounted... remaining lines plumbed. Filler neck installed... all I need is some fuel. Got some running to do and I need mower fuel anyway.

So it got some fuel and I primed the system several times with key ON cycles. I noticed both my unions where I tied into the original lines were leaking. I got back under it and gave them a bit of a twist while pushing the lines in. It seems to have worked... no more leaks. It fired up and fuel pressure was were it should be... and increases with a stab of the throttle.

Last year I ran it with that swamp fuel and I'm pretty sure it fouled the plugs. Tomorrow I'm gonna crank a set of plugs in and put the timing light on it. So the jury is still out for now... but I'm guessing the fuel system is good. This picture is after about an hour. I left the gauge on it and will see where it is in the morning.

I kinda like the red tank... shame to cover it up with the skidplate.

Maybe a red skidplate... :icon_confused:

Question. The two holes below the "Ford" emblem. Are they for a badge like "Eddie Bauer"?

Yes, a red skid plate would be nice. Call it a "target" like the Pintos. lol Seriously, red would be a nice offset.

I'm sure those holes are for some sort of badge. I'm not sure what one though. I have a box the PO sent with the truck that has hardware and misc stuff that went to it at some point. I haven't been to the bottom of the box yet... that badge might be in there.

Better get on it, the neighbors have been chattering for almost a year now.

"That poor guy doesn't even have overdrive..."

And who can blame them, without the "Overdrive" badge under the oval how can they know?! :dntknw:

At least you have an oval so they don't think it is a Scion or something... :icon_thumby:
