Hey y'all, I've got an Oxford white 1992 Ranger with some red pinstriping down the side. I'd like to so some minor bodywork to refresh the truck and have had a bear of a time finding any replacement decals for this configuration. I haven't seen many other trucks with this paint and decal setup so was wondering if there are any OEM-style stripe kits anyone has seen for these, or if I would be better off going with something homebrewed. They're kind of reflective and have a mix of silver and red diamond pattern that changes from primarily silver to primarily red as you go down the side of the truck.

Been in your situation trying to find pinstriping kits. It can be very difficult and sometimes impossible to find OEM, especially that old. One option is to do a web search for NOS (New Old Stock) parts vendors. There are several out there that buy up old Ford stock and resell. Then there are the reproduction parts places on the web that deal specifically in Ford truck parts. A long shot is eBay. If you can dig up the actual OEM part number for the decal kit, they may help a lot in searching for the part. Sometimes you can buy PDF copies of old Ford parts manuals on eBay or there are some online catalogs (though 1992 might be pushing it too far). There is one solution that will always be a success and that is to go to a place that cuts custom vinyl decals. Find one that cuts decals for auto body shops. They can take picture of your decal and input it into a computer. From there they can manipulate it as needed and cut it using computer controlled machines in any color material you want. You may have a trouble with the fading from silver to red, but you never know.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try to check out some NOS vendors and maybe I'll get lucky. Though it's probably still a ways down the road before I get into it as I just bought a Datsun 1600 that needs more attention lol. Always too many projects.
