Well word on the interwebs is that Ford got a bad batch of chips and most of January production is going into storage until that gets sorted out. Nobody really knows for sure what is going on. Lots of rumor and speculation going on, people getting different stories from their dealers and customer service etc.

But mainly earlier builds in our batch are getting their ETA's kicked back to May for reasons unknown...

We are holding at 3/3/22 so far. But it is a day or three after their mods popped before others are getting the doom and gloom though. Ours went into production 2/1 which in theory is out of January's production... but there isn't much of a safety cushion there for bleed over.

And @rusty ol ranger, I don't even wanna hear it.

I had something like that happen with a gear of some sort for the transmission in the 2019. Apparently a batch of them weren't made correctly and Ford had to do a bunch of parts swapping before they sent trucks out.

Plant shut down for the big snow storm. Is our bad news in a to-do folder that was left at work? Or did they find a bucket of good whatever is wrong with the ones built earlier in the week for the ones built later in the week?

OR, the evolutionary mechanics in automobiles has hit a wall, and the only way they can charge more for the same vehicle, is to add in hi priced electrocinal doo-dads with back up cameras and 360* cameras, and forward facing cameras, cameras and screens instead of mirrors, and lets make it also a work station with a table saw and tube bender and a 3 tier Kuregg esspresso machine.

How are you supposed to drive down the road while on your phone, if you don't have something to protect you from everyone else doing the same, you can't put their phone down and actually pay attention while your driving.
