That bumper is strong enough for a 35. It is a beast. I have owned a few offroad bumpers made by pros in my day and the Duff one is the best build I have seen. I can't say enough about it. I have the jerry can holder on it as well,l as you can see. It looks wierd without it, so I spent the extra $$. If you can afford it, just buy one, you won't regret it. Also with the price of steel right now, you could barely make this bumper for what they charge you.

I thought about the Duff bumpers but really wanted the old school look and simple and have already gotten the AOR ones. I am thinking the jack on the right side of my tire carrier so it keeps weight closer to the pivot for less stress.

Thanks! will do

Every time ya'll start talking about mods and how to's... I find myself shopping/searching/thinking.

I think I want to mount the jack inside. I'm thinking a simple "shoe" that the jack "foot" slides into. Something like below... and bolted to the floor with riv-nuts. I think out of site... out of mind. I probably have enough scrap to build one... albeit not as fancy. Was thinking about making it tall/long enough to hold a spade shovel with a pair of quick fists.

I also think I want to put the spare inside too. But there isn't a bunch of room. So we shall see.

What brand is that gump? And what size tires are you running? 33*1250's? That's gonna be large inside isn't it? Your deleting rear seats right?

It's on a site called NC4x4... I come across it just googling images.

I'm planning 33x10.50's... yes I plan to pull the rear seats... still not a bunch of room. All my plans are subject to change. I don't think the Hi Lift will get mounted outside though.
