We need some positive news. What did you do to your Ranger taday?

Got my new long block ready to install, except for 2 bolts I don't know where they go, and I have two bolt holes, that those bolts don't go in. The bolts are odd, 8mm with a 17mm head, any idea ?

I havent either. Theres still quite a few out there though on various for sale sites. But they are all super low mileage old lady cars.

If they're in better shape than yours, maybe buy one of them, put it on the road, and use yours for parts. Just a thought.

So I tried to get to where my ranger broke down on me, 3 weeks ago to check on it. I didn’t make it… The plan was to break a trail to it so that I could pull it out in a couple days. I tried digging it out, but it just kept sinking. I drove into an old miner’s trench. It’s like 4 foot deep. Broke my brand new synthetic winch rope, twice. Found a guy with a dozer to come pull me out, tomorrow.

She has chains on the front now… But it didn’t work because it’s high centered on the edge of the mining cut.

Yes sir, another 2 +/- miles in from this spot. Good thing is, the snow has been so deep, I don’t think any nefarious characters have had a chance to find my truck and start stripping or shooting it up.

my youngest son left leakey, texas to drive to fort carson on Saturday, 1 jan. when he drove away, it was 78 or 80 degrees. when he got to Amarillo, the temp was 14. when he got to fort carson, Colorado, it was 0.

he said his jeep was having a hard time with the cold temps.

we got up on the 2nd of jan to drive home to corpus and it was suddenly 19 or 20 degrees in leakey. it sucked.

i rode my bicycle into work this morning and it was 36 or 39. i thought it was warm enough to have my sweatshirt and wind jacket on with my snow mobile gloves and just normal pants/socks/shoes. it was not. i was cold from the waist down the whole ride. tomorrow i am wearing the wind pants and probably fuzzy boots with everything else

Perhaps, "If I CAN'T do it, then I SHOULDN'T do it," would be preferable?

Yup .... You needed apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur....

For riding in those low low low temps.
