My credo
Always bite off more than you can chew!! :)
Last year I posted a "for sale" on drivetrain parts that I stripped from a 95 Ranger that I've converted to a 408 Cleveland.
This truck ran 'perfect' before I stripped it. Parts included (but not limited to) 4.0 V6 complete, 5 speed manual trans, 3.55 Posi
axle (8.8 w/leafs and shackles), gas tank, 2 sets of coil springs(1 stock, 1 hvy. duty) , 2" drop I beams w/ spindles , drop shocks to match, abs brake pump(?) dist. block(?). Also brand new "loaded" front calipers (red) and brand new rotors. I wound up going WAY deeper into my build than I ever thought I would!! What is "HARD TO BELIEVE" is that there is no one in the Ranger Nation that can't use or needs these parts. I'm not interested in 'parting' out but will offer a great deal to anyone interested in the lot.

Could have been a timing thing or a location thing. Sometimes it helps to post a reply in your "for sale" thread to bring it back to people's attention.

It might also be an all or nothing thing.

Lots of gearheads in Oakland County... did you post it locally?

You also might be surprised how fast stuff will sell if you separate things up. Probably even make an extra couple dollars.

And shame on you @smilinjack

you can't just tell us about this "deeper" cruiser you built and not show us a couple photos.

So ..how much for the 4.0

And..

V8 swap.

Think about that.

I buy an rbv..

I am likely throwing most of the ranger drivetrain away.

Hey Bobbywalter . Make me a reasonable offer and you can have it all!

Hey Uncle Gump. First I've gotta learn how to post pics on this forum, (go figure I can create a frankenstein truck but can't post a pic!!). It's my winter/pandemic project so she'll be back in the garage for completion soon and I'll try to post some pics. Decided to enjoy my "trailer queen" 2000 Lightning this summer as she's only got 20,000 miles since new. She makes 614 rwhp, motor only, (add +175 shot juice) and is great fun on the street. Turns out Z06 vettes REALLY hate it! 😂

When you are typing a reply in a thread like this, there is a button at the bottom left corner of the box that is labeled "attach files". Click on that. Then you will have options to attach files or use your phone's camera. Choose files and it will get you to your picture gallery, etc.

Cool. Thanks for the tip! 😎

My daughter lives in Rochester Hills ..

Not sure I can get up there before I leave for work...I am in woodhaven by the Detroiter truck stop

It would put off an Ecoboost swap which won't hurt my feelings since I am looking at Z cars.. don't want to be building two things in this environment.

Was it obd 2 or obd 1?

You have to name a price....I don't know what reasonable is.

Obd??

On-board diagnostics ( OBD) is an automotive term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. OBD I used flash codes typically using the check engine light. OBD II uses scan tool diagnostic codes and report live engine and sensor data.

Yeah...OBD2 is easier to work with from modification perspectives...it would have the under dash 16 pin connector
