Sorry, we forgot to torque the lug nuts.


1,666 us, 24 Canadian, and 2 Mexican bronco sports. Sound like that might be all of them.

Eh that's just the ones they've identified so far could be more added to that later.

Seems these kind of "we forgot to tighten this" recalls are happening more and more.

And the Ranger recall isn't really news, it's only if you had your airbags replaced because of an accident right after the recall and they were still installing some old stock parts for replacement.

Why worry about extensive QA when we can just hot patch it and have the dealer clean up the mess later, after we already have your money.


Circle back to my complaint about cars updating their software over WiFi. It shouldn’t need an update, it should finished being assembled and tested BEFORE you sold it to me.

While I do agree to an extent on the software update crap...

Since that garbage is connected to the interwebs they have to update the security software periodically as people find new ways to hack stuff. They also update things like the offline maps cause you know... roads constantly change. So there are unavoidable things that NEED to update if you want to drive around in these modern spaceships. I prefer to just not have every single part of my car connected to the internet. Just give me a radio and GPS that can connect to my phone, Im good with that but there's no need for someone in China to be able to access my ECM...
