What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

I noticed yesterday that my AC wasn't cooling down very well. I run the leak detector around and I just can't locate the leak. But it's in the 90's here and I'm in the middle of moving stuff to my storage unit in preparation of my move and I needed the air working. I dumped a can of R134a in and it's back to cooling well. After I get done transporting stuff to storage today I'm gonna try again to find the leak.

Did you put in any dye?

I did not...

I had the R134a on the self. If I can't find it with my sniffer or snoops I will add another can with dye next time.

Fits pretty good, I'd say. Decided to leave it black instead of trying to color match 20 year old trim, plus I've got the black radio bezel and door trim.

That's probably why I couldn't find one "direct fit" it says up to 02 and I have an 09. Failure on there part cause nothing changed on that pillar lol. Thanks though, my grab handle is messed up and there's a hole in the plastic so I wanted to cover it with a guage pod. I'm going trans temp and maybe oil pressure. Ordering one now, just deciding on the second guage.

Found a 3 pod one which I think will cover more of my oopsies. Now I need to figure out 2 pointless guages lol. Trans temp is a definite but other than that... I really don't need any guages... Help me pick!

I have a tach, voltmeter, oil pressure (switch it's ford), coolant temp, what else could be practical?

That is all I have.

I guess fuel pressure under the hood but you wouldn't need that.

Boost gauge. Hook it up to 12 volts with a resistor so it looks like you're running some ridiculous amount of boost pressure.

Vacuum, trans temp guage (since you have a automatic), thats all I can think of since theres plenty of factory guages and I think a tach is in all of the guage clusters since 2005

Get another Temperature gauge and run the sensor under the seat to check the soup temperature

I see that autometer pod is a little different then the Glow Shift pod... I misplaced the screw covers when I installed it. I found them today when cleaning out my tool box. Picture was from when I installed it.

Boost
A/F ratio (i know its not correct term but brain freeze...)

The above post is timely! Bought a low profile cross bed toolbox in black. I was getting really tired of smelling my stinky crabbing gloves, boots, and wet gear when the cab would heat up now that it's hitting the 90's daily. I considered a camper shell but I've always found that it was harder to load gear and equipment.
