Will uhaul rent a car trailer to tow behind a 2019+ ranger?

UHaul also rents trucks, so way to do it without playing games would be to rent the truck and trailer together.

That way you are not boned if something happens and Uhaul realizes that you are towing a lincoln towncar instread of a VW Thing.

Yeah, lying about what you are hauling sounds cute on here but could get you in a lot of trouble if something goes sideways.

🤔🤔

So, wait, you’re saying hauling these is different than towing a VW? (6,500# & 5,000# full of gas with my fat ass inside!)

🤪🤪

And, hey, I wouldn’t worry about if the Ranger can do it. I used the 87 4WD to push my F250 powerstroke from Greenville, SC to Atlanta last year!

The only difference between towing those and a VW is that those are actually cars worth owning haha

Yeah, their value spikes about this time every year too...

If you can't tow it with the Ranger, just rent a fullsize truck.

Wouldn't it be easier to tow the ranger with the caprice? I mean the ranger weighs less... :icon_rofl:

Uh oh, the Gump must like vw I seem to have made him mad 😋

The caprice is geared at like 2.73 or something ridiculous, I don't think it's 305 or noisy 700r4 would like hauling anything with that gearset.

Plus.. its engine does not goes vroom anymore.

I am led to believe small block chevy's grow on trees so I fail to see the problem? :icon_confused:

Considering I would be within the legal capacity of the truck I wonder just how much trouble I would get in... I can't imagine it would be much more than a pee-pee slap from uhaul and getting banned from giving them business..

Now, for the nannies who like to hit the report button.. not saying I'm going to break the uhaul law here if they say the wagon is a no-go behind my truck..

I do have an uncle with a car trailer I could use, and likely will if uhaul says no. I'd rather take the time and drive over to his house and grab the trailer than pay for two rentals.

I bet the transmission would take a dump if I tried hauling anything with that car lol. The noises it makes are horrendous to say the least. I'm surprised it works at all honestly.

305's never went vroom... 305's went "gasp choke cough ugh"

The 700r4 aint bad though. I towed nearly 8k with a 700r4 a couple times a year and it lasted to 170,000 miles before the truck got T-boned. I miss that lil S10.
