What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

I finally got my Ranger back a couple of weeks ago. My son had been using it for the past several months and finally got himself a truck. Did a full brake job on it last week including a fluid flush. The pedal was a little squishy, so I figured since I hadn't really checked the brakes since I bought it, I'd just do it all. Turns out all I really needed to do was the flush. Pads and shoes were still very serviceable but I changed then anyway. Rotors and drums were reused. Also fixed the EGR tube that had broken at some point. Not OEM since it's got the SC. It's a flex pipe that I'm not really a fan of. I'll likely fix it properly one day. Drive it to work all week and it ran great. Doing an oil change today.
Also, we almost have the race truck ready for its maiden voyage. That's been taking up most of my spare time lately.

What truck did your son get?
(Or do we not talk about it. 😬🙂)

It's a Nice'un.😏
2018 Titan Platinum Reserve 4x4.

New fuel filter, cleaned the K&N, cleaned the MAF.

Hauled crap to the dump, and firewood from the storm damage last month (rented a splitter). When it was iced over here, the firewood would have been worth twice as much as the truck!

Welp the 2000 is gone. Got it going and told the previous owner it was running good. I felt bad cause I fixed it for next to nothing so I told him to come get it merry christmas... he ditched it cause he was afraid of how much it would cost. Would have been a cool beater but he needed a cheap truck for work so nothing lossed nothing gained. He paid me $50 for parts and now has a truck.

Im only out time I woulda spent doing nothing anyway... Oh well. Rather save up the karma :dunno:

He does have a car hauler trailer so now he owes me lol.

Very very good! Very proud of you! You will share in His reward.

Scrapped 600lbs of electric motors today. $160

Stopped for gas too, but 93 was $3.89 a gallon so I only put in like $20.
You should have filled up before the price increases again.

I reeeeeeeeallly wanted that truck lol.

The truck would be great, but there is no better feeling and reward than doing the right thing, even if no one knows. And His reward will not be in proportion to what it cost and meant to you, something you can do in passing, but rather the value to those perhaps less capable and in greater need. The same “little” thing you do or pass on may be a “big deal” of great value, providing peace of mind, security, and a needed resource for those perhaps of lesser means. Again, proud of you.

& for those of you reading this and scratching your heads, thinking it’s corny, hey, 😁😁, shame on you! In this world where most of the “entertainment” tears down whatever place or beliefs, the schools teach division, and the government distracts us with inflammatory cries of racism or whatever, a ruse to distract us while they line their pockets, we need to support what and who is good, and encourage good works just because they’re good, with no expectation of reward. It’s what makes us great, not what we have or how high we stand.

& trust me, I’m no saint. I have to keep my hair long to cover the sprouting horns. But I hold this close, and it does affect my actions. I don’t mind arrows because I was thanking and encouraging good works from good men!

(Sorry, see what happens when I don’t work on my junk!)

Sum this up using only the word cantaloupe.

shut the hood, only to realize that the tps on top of throttle body occupies the same space as the hood. when will this truck stop kicking me in the nuts?
