80's Ranger 4x4 for the Trails

So a bit of spray ending up inside isn’t a game changer?
I left the hood open so overnight to get cross breeze.
Its the vapor canister that holds fuel vapors from the tank. Worst thing that will happen is engine fire from fuel vapors leaking out of the canister. Water shouldn't hurt it.

@RonD

Now that I’m hosing down, figured it’s a good time to reveal the suspension.
I have no idea what is OEM or not.

Radius arms look aftermarket. Looks like drop brackets on the TTB also.

Rear springs appear to be aftermarket, and I'm sure the front coils are too. And the steering dampener.

Stacked lift blocks scream "stupid" and not much thinking going on upstairs, for whoever put them in. Disaster waiting to happen, potentially. Really increases strain on u-bolts to have everything up that high and I wouldn't want one of them to squirt out under hard braking......

Agreed

Steering angle probably isn't too bad but from my understanding isn't ideal, possibly getting some bumpsteer (and that could be why someone put a stabilizer on it) If everything is "right" you don't need a stabilizer.

I didnt think the steering angle looks too terrible. Definitely an aftermarket drop pitman arm in addition to what is listed above. Aftermarket transmission crossmember and radius arm brackets.

That’s all way over my head right now but won’t be for long since I have to work with it.
Are all of these mods for clearance?
I like/want some lift but I am not scaling boulders here.
Do I now begin bringing this all back to OEM? Or is it actually part of the suspension lift..

Why not?

To return to normal, you need all the OEM brackets and springs. The steering stabilizer (horizontal shock on the front) can come off. The extra (lower set) blicks under the rear springs need to come iff. But you need different springs or linger shackles to keep the height even with the front.

Is this set of mods THE suspension lift?
When you say return to normal, are you meaning losing the suspension lift?

Yes and yes

So in other words this is a poorly done suspension lift and should be abandoned for safety concerns.
That sucks. Definitely was part of the reason I went for this truck!
Is there a compromise? Keep it but make it safer?

Front looks acceptable. Rear is dangerous. Never stack lift blocks.

Rear is questionable.

Those radius arms and crossmember are very good. Ive been hunting a similar set.

I have a pile of old OEM suspension stuff if you want it. Will happily trade for yours haha.

Is this suspension lift height equal to those two blocks? Or is it added to something else too? Just talking about suspension lift not body lift.
If I take a block out (assuming just one block is safe) how would I lower the front to match it?
