BII prices?? Funny stuff

Guy near me has an orange Renegade, it looks pretty good. It's on a main street in my town so I see it frequently, it's in front of a fairly expensive home. Ok, whatever... Last week I saw near color matched Challenger parked out front with it.
Now I'm thinking, yeah that works.

As for BII prices, 10G ain't what it used to be. I have more than that in mine and it looks good in a picture but less so up close.
Just hitting the high points for mine;
Paid $3K for decent looking almost no rust, poor running BII.
rebuild AC system $1100. parts and tools only, did it myself. shop wanted $2500.
Trans rebuild $1700. shop did it.
Exhaust from manifolds back $900. shop
New tires $550
Radiator $100
Alternator 90 amp, $90
2 "lift and shocks, alignment $550
Driveshaft $300
LED headlights $100. These are great, half the amp draw and twice the light of halogen. https://www.amazon.com/Headlights-H...ler-6053(2Pcs)/dp/B07BWBRDJ5/?tag=959media-20
E-fan $200
Assorted tune up and sensor parts, belts, hoses $200
Drivers seat, door panels, dash cover, cargo cover $500
Decent radio with hands free phone, Bluetooth, yada yada and front/rear speakers $250

I wouldn't it put up for sale for 10G, but I sure know how you get there. :)

That's why you need mechanic friends to mooch off of. Cut the labor cost down.

lol junk compared to any Toyota....its on now lol

My B2 is a comfortable DD and capable tow rig, if you are careful with it.

By comparison my grandfather's 2013 Tacoma is an underpowered mess with less comfortable seating and a transmission that can't seem to pick a gear.

Unless it has zero miles, different axles, a totally different drive train, a better motor, nicer interior, lockers, a crawl box, skids, sliders, aftermarket bumpers and a winch, and zero rust and bketter steel, I'm out lol! Although the orange is...umm...ouch.

My BII is still for sale for 10k for anyone who thinks its worth it!!!!

Just messin with you guys, hope ya know. I am serious that these prices are absolutely silly IMHO

I don’t care what’s don’t to it... that’s not a $32k truck.

I've seen ridiculous prices on them as well. I've seen ridiculous prices on them that don't even run and don't have a title too. Its all about who's dumb enough to pay those ridiculous prices.

Since I've had my Bronco 2 the past 4 years I've spent about $12k on it in repairs, maintenance, etc. That stuff adds up quick, especially when you aren't equipped to do the work and don't have the patience for it to begin with. Its a great little truck, but would I go out and just throw that much money down on one? Probably not, unless it was in showroom condition which is pretty rare to find, and when you do find them they're usually sitting at a dealership oddly enough. For that kind of money to be thrown at something like that it better have a several year warranty to go along with it, otherwise its a pretty huge risk as to what's going to blow up as you leave the seller's house LOL.

I think they only cost about $15-18k new depending on year and options of course. Now to get anything comparable in capacity and capability you have to spend 2-3 times that amount and then you end up with a car full of electronic stuff that's inevitably going to fail right after your extended warranty expires LOL.

Course Bronco 2's aren't the only vehicles that are always listed for ridiculous prices all the "muscle" cars are always listed for 10x+ what they're actually worth and many times require a lot of work because people tend to never drive them because they have that nice shiny new car, so the poor classics just sit and rot sadly at least that tends to be the case where I live....they only drive them maybe a month or two out of the year if that even, maybe to a car show but most of them don't drive them they just trailer them as a show piece so they look great physically but mechanically most of them are a mess. I have a 72 Mustang sitting in my yard right now that is just slowly rotting away because my aunt can't drive it anymore so she just don't care to even bother to fix the tie rods & ball joints, yep that's all it needs...well now a paint job in a few years due to her poor choice in covering up the car has destroyed the paint.

I recently sold a beautiful 90 b2 for 1000 because I didn't have room for it.
Had a bad computer. I actually doubled my money on it!

Or if you have too much money and want a 4wd brick...

They started out at $120k

"lOok At ThAt oRigINaL sPeEdO"

Maybe I should get something started... $250 for a junk 'stang engine, couple more $$ for generic paint and a Harbor freight gun?
How much are recaro seats nowadays? Throw some coilovers on it. Idiots love coilovers. Or at least the word.
Boom: $50k

Looked pretty good till i seen the modern head unit and EFI 302.

Can anyone explain the appeal of an EB anyways? Maybe im the weird one for thinking their kinda "meh"?

Id much rather have a 78/79.

The engine in this one is Crown Vic/boring car, not Mustang. Not an HO, 150hp of fun!

At least it doesn't have an HO intake anyway... which is really sad when yards are full of V8 Explorer's with GT-40 intakes.

I like them as a whole but the rear wheel arches always look awkward.
